@@Argonhubert the direction change isn’t as big an issue. It’s always the responsibility of the uphill guy not to crash into the one downhill of them.

@@Hello_there_obi key is sudden switches. It’s easier to dodge boarders sitting on the hill than a skier switching without indication on a crowded hill. Though downhill has the right, however it is also a rule to avoid collision and to indicate intentions, ski patrol will stop people who are riding the hill horizontally in a non crossing. Has more to do with being considerate.

@@Argonhubert i get its about being considerate but again, the downhill skier/boarder *always* has the right of way. What if they were avoiding an obstacle? Things like that. I just calculate the rough space to leave them and overtake safely. Never had a collision since my days as a beginner.

Yea he fell right before this happened and was crying. I’m pretty sure the snowboarders we’re trying to stop right before they got to him but ended up not being able to because the mountain is too steep so ended up spraying him on accident.
