Snowdonia | Eryri Mountain Wild Camp in the TarpTent Scarp 1 with STUNNING views and sunset
In this video, I head up to the high mountain summits of the Carneddau in Eryri National Park for what turned out to be a stunning solo mountain camp. The forecast was for perfect weather however, brutal winds began to smash the tent throughout the night, picking up the next day to very difficult conditions.
I was afforded superb views across the Ogwen Valley and the rugged and majestic peaks within. This was a truly magical wild camp, with stunning scenery, spectacular and beautiful sunsets and one I will never forget. My shelter, the TarpTent 'Scarp 1' performed admirably and shrugged off some very powerful gusts of wind.

Thnx for taking us to Wales Chris. Absolutely brilliant camera work and drone footage is a very welcome addition.super skills there including music choice. Glad you didnt loose the drone. Another great vid in spectacular countryside. Drone shots and the music were outstanding. Those views of Tryfan and the Snowdon Horseshoe bring back personal memories for me as well. I chickened out on the jump between Adam and Eve. Have you tried Tank Petrol by Northern Monk yet ? It's sublime, then come to think about it so are the rest of their craft beers. ATB Mike.

TarpTent loaned me the Ultra to test..... So I had to send that back. For me, the sil nylon version is a better fit - the Ultra is a very specialist tent - both fantastic in their own right, but Silnylon for me 👌

I prefer solo camping too. As a lone female in Oz, always take mace ( trained to use) and a short blade legal carry, because , well......we are the land of missing people. Lols. Seriously tho, at one in nature, gives peace like nothing else.

Thanks v much for the sub and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I hope you don't mind, but I don't title my videos with pitch sites etc anymore so as not to put any undue pressure on any given spot - and I'm a very small channel. I see it as being responsible. If you head up around the Ogwen Valley, or have a nose at the map of that location, you'll find absolutely tonnes of amazing spots! ATB 🏕️
