I remember when my company approached me to test e-log. To say that I had my reservations would be an understatement. The very first load I had an epiphany which was dispatch or anyone else within the company couldn’t try to force me to do shit if the logs said otherwise lol. Although I’ll always miss the paper logging.

Driving a truck isn't an easy way to make a living but it's an honorable way to make a living. I'm not sure people understand the necessity and importance of trucking as a whole but consumers would have a hard time existing without the industry. Best of luck to you, your company, and family Brother.

Just found your channel. Pretty cool. I followed a US truck for a short bit and then he was fired. He was honest and said his company had a policy about doing anything personal in the truck while moving - for example holding a gopro and panning it left and right. I think he commented he should have just kept it on his dash and verbally described (as you are) what's happening. Safe travels. Oh, my daughter wanted me to ask "Dad, where do these guys go to the bathroom?" We stop every two hours on the road for nature's call and to walk our Australian Sheppard.

Hello Josh , it’s better to be stuck on the road in these big snow storms , you don’t really want to be in a cluster of a parking lot when 50 million semis jam up a small truck stop here in good old Canada 🇨🇦.Let’s face it these trucks have all you need to camp out off grid for a few days , and if you are Jarred up in a Husky or Flying J make sure you have good truck insurance because you have a good chance of being hit , you’re front hood rolled off or you’re side heated mirrors smashed, mean while it’s nice and quiet on the road where you probably are snowed into a small parking area where no one is around for miles and you have all the space to do what ever you need to do . So if you think parking with the rest of the fish in a Husky is a good idea thing twice today s truckers are blind and don’t know how to park in a truck stop or drive through a Diesel lane , being stuck somewhere on the open road is not always a bad thing , so next time you get shit down on the highway remember , ask you’re self do I have the time to waste at a body shop , is my insurance paid , what do I need to pay a toe truck and is my load going to get there period 😮 Oh no it’s Trucker Josh I better move from here lol ha ha ha lol😊😊

Agreed, elogs where not as bad. Sure paper logs are faster, but don't have to worry about failing a log book inspection. Same with the cameras. They suck but a great tool to CoA(cover own ass). That being said.. we don't need anymore regulations. We need problems fixed with the trucking Industry, pay, fuel, drivers that have no business driving. More regulations isn't the answer though.

I still use paper......but me and my old cabover down here in the USA (same truck since 1989) never miss a good night sleep and never go over 57mph,.....and have never not made over $90,000 per year take home. You don't need to be a "Super Trucker" that's what we call them here in the USA, to make a good living and not be a slave to the job. Be safe man,...I don't drive below 45 degrees anymore, stay in Fl/GA now.
