When I tested out the 4 heatpipe Aliexpress Snowman, people were telling me about how there is a 6 heatpipe version that cools better. And today we get not only the T6 in, but also the T4 version with the RGB LED bling to see how far it comes in comparison to the Deepcool Twin Tower and also the Aorus 280 Water Cooler (Oh and who could forget the Wraith Prism on the 3900X at 4.2GHz!).

Greetings from Spain. I saw your last Snowman video, and I bought it. I placed it over a i7-3770 (not K), that was being cooled by an intel stock heatsink. The result was 16 celsius degrees lower than with intel heatsink, under stress system conditions. I'm very pleases with my Snowman.

Nice vlog Bryan. Welcome home. Have looked at the Snowman T6 but can't wait for a month or longer to cool my main gaming rig with summer coming. The CoolerMaster Hyper 103 and H411R are $29 Au. I'm actually running Snowmen T4s on both of my Ryzen rigs (7 1700X/B450 and 3 2200G/A320) and had one temporarily on my Intel rig (i5 8400/B365) and the performance is great. The 1700x is actually even overclocked and the cooler is keeping up fine. I've improved both coolers by adding Noctua fans to them, which did actually drop the temps a couple of degrees.

I came looking to see if anyone had done a review of this exact same HSF. Im rebuilding a friends I5-2400 system and wanted a aftermarket fan to allow some overclock. While not as good as the Noctua I think it will still be a significant improvement over the short stock Intel HSF. Thanks for reviewing this.

I bought the T6 and i'm in awe with it. I actually had to change up my case fan profile because at idle they weren't spinning because of how low my idle temps were. It improved my temps by 20C compared to the wraith spire. Less than a third of Noctua's NH-U12S price over here and it seems it has similar performance and noise. Insane value.

Have a look at the PCCooler GI-D66A, a nickel-plated six-pipe dual RGB 120mm beast with a shroud and RGB top plate. I replaced a CoolerMaster H412S with this cooler and it made a big difference. Very pleased with price to performance on this GI-D66A.

I've bought the coolman cpu cooler. By the looks of it you used the stock thermal compound that came in the box with it. If so it would be cool to try it with a better thermal paste to see the temp difference . Also great video and planning to geting some of those snowman coolers for my next build. :)

I have an old i7 2600k used mainly as a Hyper-V test server which stays on 24x7. On warm days it was running close to 97c with the stock Intel HSF. Rest of the case was so hot that it eventually fried its boot SSD (causing random reboots first). Paid about $15 for a Cooler Master i70C from Umart and got idle temps down to around 40c and around 65-70c under full load. With summer approaching in less than a month its the perfect time to upgrade cooling.

From my personal experience -- 2 fans outside of 2 towers blowing air in the fins & hot air escaping through the gap between 2 towers -- gives a super cooling with very low noise .

Hello Brian, nice vid! I have a question did you tested Snowman with any X58 xeon? I'm curious if it can get it cool, bcs I'm sitting on 4,35Ghz rn with X5660 and I could go with voltage to the 1,4V and I think 4,6Ghz is possible, but my temperatures in games like RDR 2 are upper 70s in peak, and in for example IntelBurntest v2 10loops of high preset {10mins of max load) temps hit lik 85 celsius. I know it can be harmful but it was only for one time bcs I had crashes in RDR 2 and thought it is CPU fault but it was stable like a champ.

I was waiting for this video, and now i'm waiting for the next one which will make me decide which version of the snowman cooler to get in the future if i ever build a PC: will the t6 snowman tower with a different fan with higher CFM/RPM (even if it's not that quiet) make for better cooling than the t4 with the same high CFM/RPM fan? In that case the snowman might just be the best CPU cooler on ali express. Also if you could test push-pull with 2 fans it would be great!

Damn I love y.. aaah I mean that channel! Just put a GreatWall Cooler from AliExpress on an ASUS H81M-A with an i5-4570. Unfortunately it is not that silent, because of the 3pin. Still a good fan for esthetics.

It should give dimensions on the product description. If it's too tall go for one of the smaller versions that uses a 92mm fan.

my 4 pipe dual fan snowman arrived this morning, decided to check the base plate before installing, yea, it's not smooth, so set up the sandpaper and lapped that to a much better smoothness. just installed, ran cinebench all cores came out at 63c max that'a a 33c drop over the stock cooler at full load. can you you give yours a lap and test it again? I suspect you'll get more performance and you'll have a baseline to confirm or deny that too, I'm damn happy with it, all thanks to your video on it. I'd be interested in seeing how the t4 and t6 perform with a higher airflow fan on them, 40ish db is pretty quiet so I assume they're pretty low speed on the top end, considering that they're only 6 or 7 degrees higher than the Deepcool Assassin at 46db, it would be nice to see how close they can get to that kind of cooling, even with a top end fan they would be less than half the price

I have a downdraft cooler with 4 heatpipes getting shipped in that should be in the same price range as the snowman, wonder how it would compare. I don't expect the build quality to be the same but I can get a deepcool gamaxx or hyper 212 for under $40 cad (current gamaxx was $24 new) so I wanted something that wasn't a tower.

You should attempt push pull with the 6 heat pipe version before swapping out any fans. Should be interesting to see if it makes any difference

Hi Brian & All, You've inspired me to buy my first used PC to flip, I have found a pc rocking a fx6300 with a r9 280x, with a college master k280 case and cx600 psu where it has cost me approx 135aud. Only issue is that I can't get audio to come from the front or rear 3.5mm jacks. I have reinstalled windows drivers, any ideas at all?

the T4 is 1:1 copy of the sunbeamtech core contact freezer 120.... that is why its so good. Even the AM3 clip was ripped from the cooler, just change the fan to something that has a lot more guts, like a DELTA FFB1212EH-PWM at the very least.

I always end up just buying the Deepcool Gammax 400, only because it's always in-stock at my local CanadaComputers...and performs well enough for the price. I'm getting tired of buying the same cooler over and over again though...perhaps I'll order one of these just to have around for the next build.

I bought two of Snowman T6, but one haven't flat base enought and cooling performance was 10°C worse than T6 vith perfect flat base. Isn't it similar problem with this RGB T4? Fortunately, reapair of curved base is easy with sanding papers and 30 minutes of work. :D
