I think I finally understand why I can't stop watching these videos. 2 reasons really. First there is an inner child in me that remembers playing in the dirt as a child with Tonka trucks. That never seems to go away. Here's this dude doing all this cool stuff, treating you like a friend who is hanging out with him. Second, I'm jealous. LOL! I have to admit it. 🙂

Andrew I’m only 72 so got another 25-30 yrs in me...you’ve got me welding again....looking at the over grown acre next door where Uncle Dick lived. I was wise enough to not offer to clear it for him with chainsaw like many others have then given up. He’s in a nursing home and his adult kids are going to have it professionally cleared, in order to sell. Due to all your videos I have already checked out used machines and seriously thinking of offering to beat whatever quote they get by say 15% and learning to operate a machine on it! Could bury the root stumps and load logs over the fence at my place for the milling machine am thinking of making. Thank you son....

have a couple of wideouts for 5 years. We use them for large parking lots . They save 30 % time on large lots. Of course more moving parts means more can break. Knock on wood , westerns have been very good to me. Be running them for 16 years. 1000 lbs plows. With being large u need to have alot of weight behind them . Will cause the truck to go sideways without weight. We run around 4000 lbs in the spreaders in the bed. Not sure if they would be beneficial to u since it seems u do alot of driveways. I would think a v with a set of factory wings would work better. Only one way to find out , buy one .Around $6500 new . Sure u can find them used around there. Love the vids man ,keep them coming.

Andrew I had a Fisher stainless steel V plow when I owned my landscaping business. By far the best plow I ever owned. It can go through deep snow with ease.A friend of mine owned the extension plow, he said it worked best for parking lots but not on driveways because it would hold to much snow and would get the truck bogged down. Hope this helps. Dennis

Andrew, I have a wideout, bought it new back in 09 I absolutely love it! It’s never let me down, it’s great for large areas and driveways it definitely cuts time in half. The ability to put the wings in scoop to prevent spillover is a saver in itself next to the size of it.

There was a prime example of how the quality of your equipment does NOT effect the quality of your work. ITS THE OPERATOR! The man in the big fancy green truck with a nice Fisher plow (probably a $50,000-60,000 setup) did not know how to snowplow that job correctly and was unable to get er done. John Heimberger plowing beats the shit outa the truck. I use 20 year old trucks then when it’s scratched or gets bumped or stuck it don’t matter parts are cheap at the junkyard. I run my old truck and far parts and labor I never spend over 1000$ per year the insurance is cheaper and no payments at all. Then if somebody wrecks me, I can buy two more trucks just like the wrecked one with the insurance check.
@mad0uche4 жыл бұрын
@@ericharris893 Very true, doing actual work really cuts the lifespan of these "work" trucks, they are so popular though in the USA that a 50,000 truck doesn't seem very crazy but if you use it for it's actual purpose and not just a concrete queen it does seem silly to put it to actual work doesn't it.
