Snowshoe Hare Hunting With Beagles | Last Trips of the 2022/2023 Season

Several kill shots while hunting snowshoe hares in Nova Scotia, Canada! On these adventures, we used dogs (beagles) while hunting rabbits. Even though the snowshoe hare population was at a low this season, it didn't stop us from getting out. Please be advised that the following video is not intended for all audiences. Viewer discretion is advised!
Note: All of the animals harvested in this video were not put to waste.
Guns used: Remington 870 (20 gauge).
Ammunition used: Kent Cartridge Ultimate Fastlead (1 oz, #6 Bird Shot).

There has been 3. Low population. Many hunts with only 1 or 2 rabbits taken. Didn't make full length videos on those trips.

Are those shells comparable to federal heavy game loads?

Honestly, I've used both and for years ran Federal game loads due to the lower cost. Kent Ultimate FastLead is by far the better shell. Kent Ultimate FastLead has a bit of a higher price point, but in my mind, for the extra few cents it costs per shell, it is worth it. I had countless misfires using Federal, which can ruin your day when you start missing opportunities. I've patterned both and found that Kent Ultimate FastLead also provided more consistent patterns. Yes, I'm in partnership with Kent, but this is truthful and not being said because of my relationship with them.
