David Gilmour's guitar playing is highly emotional and Pink Floyd's music is, too. It's also cerebral. In any case, it's beautiful. Their songs span a range of musical genres from hard rock to funk to blues to psychedelic soundscapes and they're all very different from each other but there's a definite Pink Floyd-ness to them all. I hope you keep listening. There's something different about Pink Floyd's music. Happy New Year from Northern California, USA 🎉🎊

It's so good to see someone experience this video for the first time. The pure and genuine emotion it brought to you is not surprising in the least. When this came out I would listen to this front to back with headphones LOUD. The Movie is a MUST watch for you now if you want the entire story. (You won't need drugs but it won't hurt) 😎 Whatever it cost to go to this concert, it was worth it.🤑 Happy belated 4/20+

Oh my friend you will learn from these comments so quickly to NEVER NEVER NEVER pause during a guitar solo...ESPECIALLY a David Gilmour/Pink Floyd guitar solo. It's a sin against music. You see, rock music is guitar based guitar driven music with the electric guitar and electric bass as the centerpieces and driving force behind the music. PERIOD. To pause an electric guitar solo is like slapping the mic out of the Presidents hand during his address to the nation. The only difference is that our president is an idiot and guitarist and singer SIR David Gilmour (knighted)...has been the gold standard by which all other rock guitarists are measured for the last 50 years. Please stop pausing during this mans solos. Really. For your own sake.

This was the 2nd of 3 encore numbers.... .the concert ended with Run Like Hell......totally different musically but the music and vibe enters your soul just as deeply, except now you want to run. Escape !!!!

Roger Waters ( base player) was very sick before a concert. A doctor sees him and give him a shot for stomach craps. He could hardly lift his arms to play. Later Roger had found out it was food poisoning. Music was By Dave Gilmour for a solo album done on an acoustic guitar brought it to the band which was put on the Wall album. Lyrics were from Roger.

Number one rule is you never pause a Gilmore solo. That said I’ll give you a pass since you are really feeling the Pink Floyd vibe. Try listening to Time, especially since you are young.😎

Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb, is a story of a band member that is having a nervous breakdown. Although he has made it very big in the music industry he is comfortably numb but emotionally bankrupt. The knock on the door and the words "It's time to go" are a wake-up call from the hotel people trying to get him up for the show. A doctor is called hence "There will be a little pinprick "There will be no more AHAHAH" his hands felt like 2 balloons as a result of the drug and emotional state of the band member. A magnificent view is Pink Floyd's Video The Wall Like most Pink Floyd it's meant to be viewed/listened to as a complete story ie The Video The Wall encompasses a 2 CD audio set and all the music has a part in the story. Comfortably Numb cut is from the Wall CD set.

Lol, you know not to pause. Everyone makes that mistake once, lol. Nice reaction but you didnt watch. With the Pulse concert, watch, if you want to close your eyes, do studio versions which are just as good, just not visual. The concerts allow for a longer solo.

You broke the first commandment of reacting to Pink Floyd: ye shall NOT pause a Gilmour solo.
