I love the geranium in the urn the way it is. They are the only plants that survive with me, and my mother loved them so they are special to me.

Hello Julie ! I have no idea what that little ceramic item was that was SO EXPENSIVE 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ and I had no idea about the Oil Lamp holder... Pioneer Woman...that was too funny. Awe...your pretty plate....but it looks like “clean brakes” so maybe glueing will work fine...but boooo! Love your idea with the cutting board ! I like the trailing plant in the urn. I love seeing trailing plants come down out of those with other florals. But your urn, your choice ❤️ I like them both. I am so glad my carpet is gone ! I have 2 “Water Hog Rugs” from LL Bean for the entrance for winter and SNOW !! One for the outside porch and one inside the door. Yup still snowing in NYS...they plowed the roads at 5am this morning ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️. But very typical for us... 👍 and a couple small area rugs under trunks so they won’t scratch my hardwood floors. With 5 cats and 3 of them Maine Coons ... I need to see those “fur tumble weeds” I call them...the heat comes on and they roll across the floor....😻😻😻😻😻 LOL!!!! Have a blessed weekend ! I need to tell you about this new thing I tried.... take ANYTHING..like that big pot you passed on .... clean it well . Cover in calk.. Dollor tree has it in squeeze tubs... using gloves smear it all over the pot. Make designs or just use the smearing. Let dry and paint . Use any type of paint !!! I did this on 3 pieces and they turned out awesome

Lol I almost spit my drink out when you said a geranium is the only thing you can keep alive. Im the same way. The geranium looks beautiful in that urn. I purchased what they call false snapdragon Angelino I think its name is and put it in with pink geraniums and creeping jenny. I put it up on a pedestal. Omg it was beautiful. I didn't kill it. Creeping Jenny came back up next year. I stick to geraniums and marigolds. I also do well with creeping coleus. Its beautiful.

The trailing plant looks the best in my opinion if you are thinking of using it as a planter just make sure you make draining holes so that it doesn't get root rot and die but it would look beautiful ❤ happy planting

My mother started me off when I was in high school and I am now in my 60's, so I have had a lot of experience AND a whole lot of fun. Over the years I got to shop a lot of different stores as my husband was in the Navy, so we moved around a lot. We now are in Chesapeake, VA and our thrift stores are pretty good, but YOUR stores are amazing! I drool every time I watch your videos!!! We too have a comfy country home, so our esthetics are pretty much the same. I think that is why I was drawn to you and your channel. Your videos are relaxing, fun and educating. In this one, I LOVE that Indian vase/pot you found and I love the original color. I think I would go with the green plant in your bedroom... but it would look great either way. some of these stores are really high! I would have bought the flowered pottery for a cookie jar. I also would have bought the forget me not plates. I think I glanced one with violets. if you glue your plate,you can use it under a plant. I definitely would have bought the little purple flower teapot you passed up. I see so many items, I want in your videos. Oh they had the forget-me not cups on a different shelf. I would have bought them. I actually wish they would not separate sets.

I knew what the wooden item was. My ex built me 2 of them years ago and they are still holding my oil lamps. I love them!! He also built me some with rectangle mirrors in the back so it would reflect the light and boy does that work!

I've never seen an oil lamp holder like that, but I knew right away that's what it was...and now I need one! It's so cool! & the spot you want to put it in is perfect! I don't think it needs painted, you know I love my woods! Lol. Also, sad day about the ironstone piece...I hope super glue can fix it!

Good haul! I went to Goodwill and a local thrift shop today!!! I picked up a peg shelf that is outdated so I will paint it. Then, I went to the local shop and got the cutest little white pitcher for a dollar a beautiful cherub for three dollars and a small shelf.for 30 cents!! I love that shop, prices go down every week, so if you are just browsing you can wait things out, if it is something I have been looking for and reasonably priced, I buy right then. I would put the indoor plant in the pot!

Hi friend, just a friendly reminder to you….whenever you get to the Thrift store again just prepare a large back full of newspapers and plastic bags, paper bags for wrapping tightly your glass and ceramics into a cardboard box and onto the car floor it goes in the back❤

Use a piece of walnut to buff that scratch if you want. The part you eat, not the shell of course.😄

There were several things I liked: the urn you bought for a planter, the dark blue plates, the decanter you looked at, the grab bag with the kitties in it, and the red cannister next to the Pfalzgraff. For the oil lamp holder I would just give it a good sanding and then buff it with mineral oil. It will bring out the woods' natural beauty. Hope you all stay safe!

We use E6000 glue for so many different uses! Bet it would work on your white plate! Once you use it, you won’t know what you did w/o it!!

Loved this video! I’m going to start watching for items like the Pftalzgraff as that would have made a good planter as is for me. I like but don’t buy because I don’t have any use for them. Definitely the vining plant for your planter! And a hanging oil lamp is going to be perfect on the end of your cabinet. I liked this format video. Also want to say I enjoy seeing the shelves; it finding Jockeys beside printers that’s just crazy to see. When I am actually thrifting I zoom in on items I like and don’t appreciate the craziness of everything that is on the same shelf.

I would never paint it. It’s the rustic color that goes with that kind of pot. Geranium with some ivy or something would look good. It for patio look.

Loved the oil lamp holder. I guessed it might be for that but wasn't sure. I've never really seen one but next time I'm out looking I'll have it in mine. In your Christmas video I saw the colander with lights in it shinging through the star design. It was so pretty so when I went to a place Friday, I found one just like it. I was happy to find one and think it's going to look great but may keep it out not just for Christmas, not sure. Thanks for a neat idea now maybe I'll find the oil lap holder too.

Glad you got the urn - I would have grabbed it too....for my porch. I have lots of metal plant stands that are all painted black. I even have a stand that came from a Cold War era bomb factory that is painted black that I use as a plant stand. My flower pots are all black, terra cotta or vintage McCoy moon & stars. I grab black wrought iron candle holders for terra cotta flower pots too. LOVE the bunny on the nest glass box. And the vintage wooden wishing well tourist piece. I’m cracking up at all the country goose with the blue bow stuff. I had all of that when I first got married in 1989. The glass canisters with the mushrooms and veggies were so cute! Did someone paint that amber glass oil lamp? I usually grab those when I find them in original condition. We had a tornado come through 10 years ago and we went without power for 2 weeks. We used our oil lamps the whole time. So whenever I find a good oil lamp - I grab it. Same with cast iron cookware since I made 3 meals a day for 2 weeks on a gas grill. 😃. The wood piece is a holder for an oil lamp.
