Thanks Andy, Off The Beaten Track is my favorite youtube golf series. Its much more enjoyable and relatable to learn about where other people play golf than watch how other people play golf.

Well this week I've got a tie in the photos with Tracy C and Andy G. I've said this before but I want to say again how much I'm enjoying your episodes of "Off the Beaten Track". This is by far my favorite channel on KZfaq and I never miss a single episode that you produce. The way you blend golf with the accommodations and surrounding area is so well done and adds so much to the videos not to mention the expert camera work by Tracy is truly top notch. I'm lucky enough to have played here and on most of the other north and north east coast courses you have featured. Some fantastic courses which are little known but are well worth paying a visit.

I may have been there the day before you played it as we were rained off without a ball being struck in our match between Murcar Links Seniors and Duff House Royal's Seniors. I had heard so many good things about the course and was so disappointed not to play. Fortunately we've rearranged for 9th September so looking forward to that. Your excellent video has whetted my appetite even more - thanks Andy. I love these "off the beaten track" videos.

Loved playing this course a few years bac. The Moray Coast has some great courses: just played Cullen last week; a really quirky and unusual course.

So glad you managed to get to Duff House Royal, Andy. I played it a few years ago - as a sucker for old school golf courses, and especially Mackenzie courses, when I read it was the most unspoilt of his courses in the UK it was a must to play. The greens are epic (the 12th is just crazy with that huge bank at the front - I had to putt up it, just like you) So many stand out holes. Loved the long par 3 16th, and the 17th, both heading back to the bridge and hugging the river on the right. Saw a kingfisher whist on the 16th. Great value as you say. Well worth getting there for another round some day.

New from the static pic it was duff house - Mackenzie design - great course, friendly and good food / clubhouse - played an open and they announced you in the tee - pressure!

I agree that the CBX wedges should be in a lot of golfers bags. If you ever tire of the sugar daddy's, you should review the Edison 2.0 wedges by Terry Khoeler. Premium priced as they are 5x forged, but they are the most forgiving wedge out there for the average golfer. Been gaming them all season and confidence is going up every round with them. Their sole grind works on every lie, making the choosing process of new wedges to be very simple! Long-time fan, keep going with thoughtful content like this. (BTW, Cleveland Smart Sole wedges kept me in the game until I improved, so I'm very greatful for their help to the below-average golfers out there, helping us to get to average! The big brands have almost entirely abandoned the struggling golfer, but not Cleveland).

I have a collection of forty plus malt whiskies. Not sure whether the course or the distillery would be best. Challenging greens though. My pet hate with bunkers is thin sand, try to take a normal shot with sand first, ball second only to hit hard on the membrane and duff the ball a couple of feet. Photo, Andy f.

There are about 3,000 bunkers on that course. Nice flat course, no strain.

Lovely lush parkland - played there as a teenager many years ago. You being "intimidated" by playing so near the clubhouse? Well go to Royal Aberdeen for a similar experience... and a fantastic golf course. Suppose its not really "off the beaten track". I hear Royal Tarlair is worth a visit with a short hole reckoned one of the best in the land.

There used to be a 5 day competition when I was young, went round in 72, 75 then ran into the greenkeeper on the matchplay.

Duff House is a great course. Aye first tee nerve racking when clubhouse is busy. Haven't played it in years though.
