SoHyang is American drama fanatic. She self thought English by watching dramas. She majored in French. She has also authored a few novels. Definitely multi talented!

Her parents divorced when she was young which threw her into quite a depression. At some point in her life she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. As she put it, the day she met Jesus. She wound up marrying the drummer in her band when she was 20 and shortly after was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She has been cancer free For about 20 years now but can not have any children. She has dedicated her life to use her music to glorify God and to bring healing to those who are going through difficult times.

While Sohyang self-taught English from watching American shows and movies, I believe the precision and clarity of her pronunciation come from her professional discipline, How each note sounds in her performance is something that carries great importance. I heard her sing in Chinese as well and was astounded by how good her pronunciation was. Look forward to your next reaction of Sohyang.

I have read that So Hyang mainly learnt English through Disney movies and some American shows when she was young. She is obviously very intelligent as well as talented since she teaches voice at a university and is the author of a series of novels and I believe she also studied French at university.

I think this performance is more valuable and beautiful because she sang it in a sick situation.💖😭

Now.... this perfection she is singing.... during this performance, she had a severe case of pneumonia, and was seen by a Dr that evening, and was told NOT TO SPEAK... but with weak lungs, and a bad throat, she pushed ahead and did all of this. I do not know of another singer in the world that would sing while having pneumonia.

Her parents divorced when she was young. She calls her father-in-law--- DAD, and her mother in-law--- MOM. They have been the parents of her for the past 20+ years. She speaks English just as good as I do, and I was born and raise in the USA. I have seen her in talk shows and she will often just blurt out English instead of her native language. She is very relaxed speaking in English.

So hyang one of my favorites. Her closest and best friend Park Ki Young has about the same vocal range but is a tad more versatile because she can belt them with equal emotional impact and power in rock, pop, soul, jazz and classical ( opera). A few of my favorites that are worthy of reacting to: “ Spring Rain” ( her final rock raspy ending amazing!) “ wound” “ a song for you” “ goodbye too short a word” “Hit hee Park Ki Young” (one of my all time favorites) “ Nella Fantasia “ ( best version ever and I’ve watched all the world class vocalists perform this) Mask ( she was robbed. They gave it to the King. Total highway robbery). But my reason for my comment is this: When you have a few moments , I’d like for you( or your audience who is reading this) to respond to a virtually unheralded unknown female vocalist who I chanced upon about a month ago and she blew my mind to kingdom come. If you like angelic heavenly female vocalists with a high vocal range, then please keep reading. She goes by the name “ Eivor” She’s from time the small Faroe island and when she gives a performance virtually the whole island of about 600 show up. She has an angelic voice so unique , so mystical , so magical, so entrancing so hauntingly beautiful that if you ( or your subscribers) react ( no one will recommend her so I hope you will react privately ) to the following 6 performances after which you will become an avid fan and utter to yourself “ why on God’s earth is she not famous??). You’ll want to subscribe to her website where she will enthrall and mesmerize and entrance you with about 40 more songs ( a mixture of live and MV’s and she is one of the few world class vocalists who is as good or better performing live. Every one of her live performances will silence your mind and open the floodgates of your heart and soul. ). Please KZfaq the following 6 live performances ( first 4 from her small island , the 5th ( “ “True Love” live from LA ) and the last in Denmark in front of thousands with full orchestra performing for the Queen Of Denmark!). Here they are Eivor “ free falling” ( the one that’s ‪6:47‬ duration.. it’s in English ) You will love her and her band. It’s on the island but inside I believe a restaurant seating capacity ( when the camera panned the audience) probably 300 lucky lucky souls to witnessed this beyond amazing performance. She put it on KZfaq about 3 years ago and very few views and likes. If she performed it in America and there were 50,000 in attendance , all 50,000 would be screaming and yelling for a long time during and after the performance. The strobe lightening, camera work, her otherworldly vocal is beyond belief. At the end she hits notes that are so celestial so mystical so heavenly that you would think you died and went the heaven-especially that last sustained higher than high note! “Eivor trollabundin” ( first vid ‪5:44‬). ( from the Faroe Islands and trollabundin meaning ‘spellbound’ and all who watch this amazing. Video in her native language will be spellbound.). Wish I was there outdoors sitting with the audience. Great tribal primordial vibes. Atmospheric mesmerizing hypnotic recognizable vocal prowess. The island’s backdrop scenery of mountains and rivers are breathtakingly beautiful and I wish I could book a plane and be sitting with the islanders for the live concert. Eivor “ Wake me Up” ( ‪7:11‬ duration) in English and she kills it with celestial high notes and emotional impact. It’s about her longing to wake up from this earthy dream and reunite with love or lover that left her with this heart-wrenching longing. ( and oh boy does her voice scale the ethereal heights). This vocalist has already become one of my top 5 female vocalists.And I just discovered her less than a month ago. Excuse my excitement but whenever I discover a new amazing vocalist I can’t control my emotions. I was one of the very first to discover and highly recommend (before the masses reacted to): Morissette, Daryl Ong, Dimash, ( best pop-op vocalist in the world), Diana Ankudinova, , Park Hyoshin ( best love/love lost ballad vocalist in the world) , Park Ki Young ( one of the best female vocalists.. as good as So Hyang ), Forestella ( best male vocal harmony crossover group in the world Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody they KILL!). Lara Fabian ( best female vocalist in the world (KZfaq “ is Lara Fabian the best vocalist in the world” also co-wrote “ adagio” “ Broken Vow”Dimash considers her the best in the world) Evior “verd min live” (‪4:41‬ duration ... pure angelic rendition. This song in her native langauge will send you to where angels tread. Finally, “Evior may it be “ ( Lord of the Rings) in front of thousands with full orchestra and the Queen of Denmark! incredible, mystical, celestial , will transport you to a higher realm). After the final note the camera pans to the upper deck where you see the Queen clapping along with thousands of others. Again, no one will recommend but if by chance you or your audience have a few spare moments please react privately. You will thank me.
