So I know it's a stretch but i build beautiful homes everyday. Sadly I work for a company and make 60k a year so if u wanna hire a full time carpenter to make this dream come true I can pack up and move down in a month. I have a ton of references and can show u a ton of my work. I have a good amount of experience with custom cabinetry as well as general contractor knowledge. Just a hope a dream for me but hell worth a try

Just finished the series and had to come back to this episode to see the pre-renovation state. I'll admit that the first time I saw this and discovered the fire damage that they should just torch the place and start afresh. That probably would've been the easy way. Glad they didn't.

How about a hidden gun room, like the bat cave! Like a staircase hidden behind one of those swinging bookshelves or a sliding grandfather clock. And when you go down into it, you can have it be all wall racks, like a walk in closet for guns!

Matt, I think you should make a tunnel from the inside of the house that goes out past the fence for an escape route if ever the SHTF! Escape tunnel that leads out to the woods would be awesome.

Big stone fireplaces, maybe one in the center if LR, DR, Kitchen. Marble bathroom walls, huge bathtub. Huge spice drawers, root cellar, pantry for 100s of jars. Def put a gate at the start of your driveway with a sign that says "PRIVATE PROPERTY" or something like that. If people have been going there to bone or do drugs in secret for over ten years, they're not going to just stop unless you somehow let them know that it's no longer the bone zone, or its no longer Mary Jay Way. You get me? Do it. Put signs like, "Smile! You're on camera". Signs scare people more than actual cameras do.

I watched the longer renovation video, with all the edits put together, but on the TV, this Matt guy is amazing and with such good spirits! Meredith is very lucky to have him! Be nice and appreciate him. The work ethic and personality isn't in everyone! I do this type of work and I get alot of complaints from my significant other and have to push him, I wish it was the opposite for me and I sat home with the kids. 100% the right choice. Also get a a few company's aboard like Lowe's, Home depo, or a construction company of sort to Sponsor some of it. Share the blueprints och so on with the demolitia so people can design and help with ideas.

Dude if this channel is basically you slowly fixing this house up until its perfect like room by room and project by project im subscribing

realistic Ideas: 1. Double 9ft tall scissor doors onto the veranda so you can open up the whole room. 2. A slanted roof on the center part that matches the other roofs. 3. A big barn somewhere to the side out of view. 4. A garage. 5. Don't forget to put in networking cables to the different parts of the house from one centralized spot so you can put in wall sockets and wifi hotspots that are powered through the networking cable (PoE, Power over Ethernet) and so you can place a NAS or file server in that spot. This way you can easily access your video files for editing etc from any spot in the house and you can also use this to install security cameras that are powered through PoE. (this is by the way also useful to install at the new bunker branding building, and it wouldn't surprise me if there are companies that would be interested in sponsoring, good options; Ubiquiti, TP-Link.) 6. Solar panels. 7. double pane windows, keeps the heat in or out depending on the season. 8. Lightning rod. 9. Toilet with a view. 10. outdoor stone oven/grill. 11. smart lighting that you can turn on/off with voice or app.

Soon as you replace all the rot and get it dried in(siding on/finished, windows, roof finished hire a mold remediation company to go thru and take out that black mold I see all over the place. Only then would I seriously start interior work.
