Too bad they took it too far and drove themselves up a corner

From the beginning it was nothing like gta it was purely about gang culture not centered on crime...the first and second were the best but the graphics on the first were better and it came out after San Andreas and before gta 4 .. It was going for a good mix of realism and fun but got scared it would have to be compared to gta and they kept getting too wacky for me

@@shorts26 funnily enough SR2 was being made before San Andreas, they even had to change their gang color because GTA straight up stole their green (GSF was originally OGF, Orange Grove Families)

Not so pure, there is no way to make REALLY cool mods, only retextures and modified game parameters, scripts etc. And this game got mediocre main story if you compare to saints row 1 - 2, only flaw of saints row 2 is unoptimised pc version.

In this case literally a simulator. Seriously though 2 is still my favorite simply because it's both goofy and serious while balancing it pretty well. Last 2 just go all goofy which is fine, a great way to get away from whatever GTA is doing, but is pretty far from where they started as well.

If you haven’t played the first two you’re missing out in actually good story with still being a bit over the top on silly action, 3rd is okay story and perfect over the top action where 4th and gat out of hell are bad story and great over the top action

If you think about it the games had nothing really interesetring, the characters dont change, you never know anything from them that you didint know before and the story and gameplay dosent know where to go, like in saints row 2 aesha die and the next 5 second you need to cover in human **** houses to know what happen because you dont have respect, even if you are the boss of the gang, in the 3rd game viola changes from an enemy to an allie but outside of that you never speend time to know her or see her change. Then 4 and gat out of hell do the same things, but these game dosent take the story as something serious and are just there to justify you have fun. I cant see the good story everyone talks about that saints row have

I prefer Saints Row 4 over 2, but I think 2 needs a remake more because it has aged more visually, the city is way too grey, the framerate is rough, and the controls aee bad

There’s a multitude or reasons why people dislike this game. The reused map, the exact same copy pasted side activities, the new activities being boring, the “story”, the lack of new assets. I’d say it’s a perfectly rated game, fun for a few hours before it gets very; very repetitive. Also, that’s a bit of a stretch to say the unhappy reviews of the game are SR2 fans unhappy with its direction. SR2 although played by a lot wasn’t as big as 3 or 4. A lot of people had fresh takes on them. There’s reason people like 3 and not 4. And why the series has been put on ice since after the horrible gat out of hell

Yeah man a game about gang warfare should go completely off the rails with presidency and aliens. How dare those fans want a game involving gang warfare and not super powers. I love 2 and 3 but 4 is a crack ship. It’s not a bad “video game” but it’s an awful saints game, kinda like fallout 4.

I agree SR2 had the strongest story and I wish they stuck with that kind of story telling.

@@Tek8223 That and the gameplay, as well as how the main mission compared to the side missions, not to mention the variety of locales. One of the main weaknesses of 4 is how the main story is just a connection bit between batches of the side missions. :-/Another is (which it shares with 3) is how the city feels like all the same across the map, while 2 had rather distinct districts, with their own separate style.

@@YZY_Fox21 There were a couple of amusing easter eggs with the russian voice in 3 that I recall...one was that she was kinda hot for Pierce, and the other was a cute Star Wars ref in the late game bit where you have to pick one of the techs to research (and get as a phone summon vehicle)...when presented with the hoverbike, she makes a point of asking if it crashes into trees.. Of course there's also the zombie voice, which was hilarious...

Nah 3 is the most fun 4 just has a lot of fun moments but gameplay wise the powers do more harm than good..

Haha, crazy right? I was super nervous about branching out, if it would even work, but it was the best decision I made for the channel, variety content is exactly what I love making!

Rage 1 was a underrated id title honestly had a blast and the enemy ai was wickedly good weapons felt great and the combination of the weapons with the open world and the wingstick favorite was the pop rocket for the shotgun. and the spider bots the card game was fun and car combat was a blast . rage 2 on the other hand was meh dont get me wrong combat was fun but honestly they should of stuck with the original combat and format just improved upon it. for rage2 rather than trying to make it closer to doom 2016 and eternal combat style. also the open world just felt off for me in rage 2

the co-op experience of this game is absolut gold. nothing better than messing around all the crazy fun stuff in the game with a friend.
