Lmao the people that actually want mop talents instead of df talents are insane. This is honestly one of the best things that has ever happened in wow, especially in recent years. I legit hope they do this with all expansions. This could literally take a shit expansion like WoD or BfA and actually make it into a fun experience for the people that missed it + give u a lot of collectibles + give you max level characters you can play on after the event with actual good gear. Then imagine they do it for a god tier expansion like Legion. I am literally praying they make this for legion. It is also awesome theres no AH involved everything is just contained in the MOP timeline.

Only got to play it for a little bit but I really liked the direction for what they seem to be doing with it. Looking forward to trying it for real.

This event isnt supposed to be a long-form version of wow. If you take it from the perspective of giving certain players the following opportunities: 1. A chance to quickly experience the story of MoP first hand without the long form farming pains 2. A chance to farm cosmetics that you cant get 3. A different way to level an alt instead of the same way all the time. it seems like a great mode option.

People always get confused about cata talents. You still had a tree, just like what xaryu said.

Every time I come back to WoW it feels like I'm enrolling into a 20+ year university where every patch is a another semester where you re-do all the work from the last semester over and over. but THIS? This feels like schools out and we goin to Six Flags baby!

@Xaryu You said there is no PvP. Did you try to see if War mode on work in MOP remix?

I actually missed out on mop, so I really don't mind making a toon to power level to see what it's like to raid mop, with a twist!

BGs would be so fun in this mode with broken powers. Real miss here.

As a retail Andy this mode is a huge W, especially as someone who wasnt playing when MoP came out. I really wish they would've implemented MoP class designs, but even so this is fun, especially at a time when there isn't new content in retail. I will definitely spend exponentially more time on this than Plunderstorm.

So happy the dev team is finally being creative. Hoping they use a lot of the info from these events to make the live servers more fun and better. Don't know how they'd add anything similar without it completely ruining the balance in PvP though.

Mana is for healing, whatever the spec, except arcane. Most hybrid can't heal more than 5-6 times before getting oom.

Personally this is a much better way to level to the current expansion rather than picking an old expansion and being expected to know what's happening. Having a streamlined experience using an existing expansion makes way more sense, it gets everyone doing the same thing too.

Can you get Challenge mode mogs though?

Xar talking about mana....it's a resource for healers and they can certainly run out of it if they are pushed too hard/undergeared. Look at Mana as a resource more for Healers than anything else. For DPS they wanted mana to not be a concern as much as rotations/priorities.

It's a lot like SoD since you can Raid during leveling.

This Remix is exactly aimed at people who want a new character, or try a new class, but also dont want the same boring leveling that they have done for 20 years. Xar, the biggest bomb, is slightly out of touch. This is basically giving retailers a max level character for free that they can enjoy in the next Expac.

Did he never notice his cape is legendary and he can use those threads of fate to upgrade it infinitely essentially as of ptr they have found no limit thus far. I have not heard him mention the cape or the threads or seen em use the threads and apply them to the cape. Just saying no one told em about the cape? Or do they just auto add the stat to the cape when you pick them up, and that’s why he isn’t mentioning it or does he just not know about it?

Retail has a lot of great things going for it, they just need to make some big tweaks while they have the attention of the vast player base here. For example, I got outran by a DK today, and I play Monk.

MoP Talenttree and class design is whats needed.

anyone else has the feeling, the wow service-gameification (sod/plunder/moprmx) is to ready both kind of players (classic/retail) for the war within or am I just crazy? *edit: I like the all new content and I hope it goes on but modes like plunderstorm should stay longer than a few week not get replaced by a new one.

I think its interesting, i'm glad its not a mop classic because then it means they won't do mop, but I think this also serves to gauge interest in mop classic after cata classic. I'm pretty much done with classic current stuff unless they start making improvements to cata, mop, etc and I'll just to stick to seasons. I think it may serve as a better version of chromie time leveling. Leveling in retail is so terrible, it actually pisses me off thinking of what a bad state and jumbled mess it became and there's no easy way to fix it with world scaling and all that This is a way to set the slate clean so people can level in one of these remixes, "experience" a full expansion in a remixed setting, and then move to current content. I don't even like retail, but I also like this idea because it's somewhat like a retail fresh server in a way. I've been wanting to see a fresh retail server to cater to classic players, no account wide collection stuff, no transmog, no cross realm play, no cross realm AH, maybe no RDF, maybe no level scaling, and would be cool if raids only had one difficulty and some were made as 40, some as 20, some as 10, and anything else really non classic. How would you make a retail expansion feel like a vanilla wow game basically. Either way, just a pure isolated fresh server and see how people enjoy the game without the non classic stuff in it. Keep all the items, achievements, etc, etc but some big changes in design from classic trilogy to retail is xmog and cross realm, plus the massive amount of stuff other players have.

Retail talent points system is really good but they need to narrow down classes. There’s way too much spells and classes don’t feel unique cause of mythic plus.

It is a fun mode to play. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to getting it on the last patch of every Xpac or for them to completely overhaul the timewalking into this.

No hate. I truly don't understand the alure behind running/playing an old version of a game again. It just makes no sense to me at all. Are you also going to use a CRT, and switch back to dialup to get the full experience?

I mean, this isn't Classic, it's a modern event mode. Not a surprise that it's DF classes/talents. I still believe Classic is coming, this is just another carrot to chase for the Retail crowd (or those that want to try MoP out sooner). Problem with Chromie Time is that you're done SO fast, and don't get to experience everything. Outside of proper Classic, this looks like a way to rapidly see/do all the expac content, and get crazy good rewards in the real game. So, for me, Plunderstorm was an L. I'm not a PvP guy, but Xar obv is, so that was a big W for him. Since I'm far more PvE, and like to complete collections, this looks far more designed for my type of play, maybe less-so for Xar. That's all well and good. I don't want Retail to just become constant types of events and temp play modes, but so far this looks alright. Enough to pull away from SoD or other versions, yes - but for long? Hard to say.

Logged into Dragonflight went boomkin , looked like a furry animations were terrible logged back out and went to play sod.

I would play retail if i could play with old character models and animations and old graphics.
