I would respect the argument for the LGS if we had the same rarity system like in the OCG most competitive cards get rarity up in TCG it is not the LGS fault but 1000$ deck prices are ridiculous and I believe konami does this because it can gat away with it (short printing in any form should be illegal)

What you say is true, game isn't dying...but it is at a slope sooner than later it'll hit the wall. They dont't know how to flesh out a set, umm Duelist Nexus wasn't a good set, lol. It wasn't the worst but nothing crazy, Rarity I was low and a good set was a boom, they need to either adopt the OCG rarity method, seems they will die on a hill then do it, or get you need to make if you pump up rarity of a chase card make the choices for the secrets and ultras the best cards possible they got OCG data they have a grasp what's good. Game is not about to die but it is not doing as well as you say.

I agree, dude acts like me dumping $80 just for a LGS is somehow a good thing. No whats good is having a healthy shot at pulling the damn card cause now you have collectors like me unwilling to buy more cards because getting 4 boxes of TR and getting trash is a waste of my money and fun. They could have a regular pool of buyers but no they decide to make you go on a goose chase and have the audacity to ask if you're having fun

They're never gonna adopt the OCG method of packs. Give up on that.

We will never get OCG rarities because they simply don't work in the TCG. The OCG will buy boxes to hunt for shiny variants of cards, whereas in the TCG most people don't care as much and will just use whichever variant of the card is cheapest. Time and time again it has been shown that sets with the good cards at low rarity sell abysmally in the TCG. Making the good cards high rarity is the only way to get TCG players to buy product.

@@candybracelets that makes the players look stupid not konami. I'm sorry but slapping down your $300 QCR isn't impressive. It's self wanking and the fact tcg players will gladly fork over $600 for one card just shows how utterly dumb they are, but that works out for konami great cause now they have plenty of dumbasses who'll drop thousands just to pull garbage, but hey shiny shiny cardboard amiright?

@candybracelets like DUNE. I believe it is a really good set. However, that set had no real value. All the chase cards sans Crimson Dragon and I guess Revolution Synchron were Ultras and below.

tbh lots of people are quitting (me too for the first time in 8 years) Fiendsmith pushed me over the edge while lots of cool archetypes can't quite compete. While the rogue options are Flunder and Branded.... game getting so boring

For me and my friend it’s more of a hiatus until we find another locals that is like at least 5 or 10 minutes from where we live with the only one being 20 minutes away which is a tad pushing it.

As a player, I haven't played or bought a card in months because I have 0 interest in paying 1k (at least haha) to play stupidly broken cards that shouldn't exist mirrors.
