i think he misses the point about the step dad accepting an older lady with 2 kids and wanting to bond with them..thats pretty cool..shes not overly sappy cause at that age who is honestly....even when she says just tell him i love him and be as kind as possible it sounds so flat cause at that age you don't really get married for those reasons...life has beaten you down so much you do it for security and normalcy lets be real..there is not a lot of sex going on
@washedblue3 жыл бұрын
@@razkable this sounds like a very subjective, personal interpretation lol. I'm pretty sure older people can and do marry for love, esp if they're healthy-minded and grounded. and "accepting an older lady with kids" makes him a stand-up guy?? like yeah not everyone wants to be a (step)parent so that's a plus but you've set the bar quite low. why would she date someone who doesn't want that? not to mention he is the same age as the mom, if not a bit older. idk, you make it sound like because you experience that, it must be true for everyone and that the mom is only marrying for stability and doomed to a loveless marriage, even when we are clearly shown that both love/respect each other. like.. middle-aged people obviously still have feelings and the propensity for deeper relationships even if it's not the same as naive, hormone-driven puppy-love. he is boring but that's because of the iffy writing. if Dylan missed a point, it'd be that the movie's not about the dad and the audience sees him through the eyes of both characters, though primarily Anna who is not a fan and distant to begin with, who gets to see a different side of him in her mom's body as the movie progresses if only for short periods. also, some people are just boring tbh and this actor is consistently wooden in most of his work.

1:45 actually, our mouths ARE shaped differently based on the language we speak. Our entire faces are. It’s like when you play an instrument and your fingers and spine and your muscles develop in a way that helps you play, or when dancers bodies develop according to what kind of dance they practice. How somebody who swims is built differently than a person who runs. Every language is very unique in the way it’s pronounced, and certain accents use some parts of your mouth and face more than others. For example the R sounds in Spanish and how people who speak that language as a mother tongue have an easy time rolling their tongues. The language you speak can and will shape your muscles and bone structure in your mouth and in your face. It’s very subtle but it’s there.

kiddo it's cause all these children's movies are from a gen z childhood so you (i'm guessing from gen z) and all ur friends know them but why would a millennial watch them if he's too old
@Lorelei_is_Lo5 жыл бұрын
@@dawn3989 no these movies were targeted at the later end of Millennials. My nieces were born in the early to mid 90's and would watch the parent trap and freaky friday and teenage drama queen all the time. gen z was too young for these

@wafflefalafel94423 жыл бұрын
The disney version was pretty bad but the brodway musical is legit really good. Just one day, Parent's lie, Someone has got to take the blame, Bring my baby home etc etc. Heck, Oh Biology is very catchy (if not very weird and inappropriate). I think that disney kinda butchered it and took out some of the best songs but all in all Freaky Friday the musical is not bad--especially if you take out oh biology and women & sandwiches (sincerely, a dumb musical fanatic)

The kid's response to his mom possibly being dead is normal to me. When I was 7, I remember making myself a sandwich and my sister came running to the kitchen. She was calmly tells me, "Evy... we're screwed. Your mama's dead." I was just like, "no, she's probably just playing dead to freak you out and it didn't work." Then I heard my mom laughing her ass off in her room.
