Hello Hoppers! As I was trying to download my boarding passes for a Volotea flight from A Coruña to Bilbao, I kept getting messages to purchase a better seat, priority boarding, a bigger bag, food, etc. I just wanted my boarding passes!!! It was soooo annoying and distracting. Then when I started packing for my 5 day trip to Bilbao, I realized my backpack was a little small... or I was taking too many items. Everything in life is relative!! I eliminated extra shirts, jeans and traveled with the bare minimum, which let me tell you, was enough. There were clothes I did not even wear. But I stressed soooo much because I refused to take a bigger suitcase and pay extra, so I had to play Tetris to fit everything in. I spent quite some time, taking items out and putting others back in. We always need less than we think. So I managed fine and I thoroughly enjoyed being in Bilbao!! In the next video I'll show you what I did.

I love it because it is 2 in 1, fanny pack that converts into a city backpack that is very light, very strong, and fits anywhere. Again, could not find it in USA Amazon. I did buy it in Germany.

I have nothing against this specific airline, I've flown with them several times, I just think low-cost airlines sometimes really complicate it for us. I understand they have to earn extra money to compensate for the low fares but I just wanted my boarding passes, nothing else. I remember when Ryanair first came out and people didn't know about their baggage policies and passengers would get very upset and angry because they would not let them on the airplane. I've seen people break the wheels off of their suitcases to reduce the height and wear the extra kilos of clothes on their bodies to reduce the weight. That is just crazy. But in all fairness, I do like the low fares, so I make sure I read everything!! Have you had bad experiences with low-cost airlines?

The smaller, cheaper airlines do that to make more money. How alot of them get you is by telling you your bag is too large and you have to pay for it. I wear my backpack when going onto the plane and face the person checking the boarding pass/passports. I didn't have to pay extra and my backpack was big and full. We flew Ryanair in Italy and they seemed to be digging people for money.

I fly low cost airlines in the U.S. all the time and I've never had any issues with them. I do agree that there is a lack of communication with them sometimes. One low cost USA operating airline in particular Spirit Airlines has horrible reviews but I think that's because it doesn't do a good job of explaining the extra fees for baggage and seats.

Hi Jason!!! Hope you are well. Yes, communication is key. I like it when airlines explain all their conditions, clearly, on their website. Some airlines keep changing conditions, prices... so that can be very confusing for people.

Flying is getting expensive these days...no matter what...I think the "low cost" airlines are really low cost if you travel with nothing and off season :) otherwise the hidden charges can add up...

I agree, some can be really expensive. I bought this flight because I got a good fare, only 59€ round trip. That is why I didn't want to pay any extras because then, it would no longer be low cost. I traveled in June and as you saw, only with a personal bag. But I agree with you, you really have to shop around.

Hello!!! I had taken Volotea before and I actually liked them and the only reason I was able to go to Bilbao was because I only paid 59€ for the round trip flight!! That’s also why I was annoyed because I didn’t want to spend money on all these extras. Also, I just wanted my boarding passes!! Otherwise I had a great time. I loved Bilbao and Sting was so enjoyable. When I look for flights I never look by airline, I always pick the lowest price and most convenient hours. Have a great day!!

You didn't see the Get Smart tune. It's odd how they don't like buses or taxis filmed. I find that uber are starting to rip people off a lot, especially from airports. Pretending there is no wifi coverage.

I always sing the tune in my head. I sometimes feel silly filming it, LOL. It was weird that I couldn't film outside. BTW, I don't encourage people to lie; I did it for my Hoppers! On the return flight I think I got a chance to film it. Sad to hear uber is ripping people off.
