I mean, it is though. My friends and I play all the time and they barely buy anything. There’s ton of free options so it’s not like it’s super restrictive, but all the other content is accessible to everyone. It’s really not the worst thing, even if Infinite has done it pretty badly

Sigh, ok I’ll explain it. I am by no means defending companies with aggressive and expensive microtransactions, but you have to understand that inflation affects the devs too. In order for the company to keep their employees, they have to up their prices to keep up with inflation. It’s a vicious cycle and if our government wasn’t printing and spending like spoiled brats, it wouldn’t be happening. Again, I will emphasize that I too hate the prices.

That's only partially true. Season 3-5 gave us multiple pieces of content, including maps, game modes, bug fixes, cosmetics, gadgets. Things that *really* improved the game as a whole. Yet when 343 over prices some shit they have suddenly...failed? Get a fucking grip dude. Yea, It's bullshit but It's just a fuckin' cosmetic. Shoulders are likely the end of crosscore IMO. Chests wouldn't really be possible I'd assume since chests are basically hard designed into each core. It's not really a separate piece you can just port over.

Man they literally released this game as a BETA & started charging for cosmetics, put basic colors behind a paywall, added a bunch of cringe cosmetics like cat ears and armor sets that don't even belong in a halo game and now they are winding down support & moving onto the next game. Right but you are ignoring how good season 3-5 was in terms of getting content out to the players. Gadgets, maps, cosmetics, weapons, bug fixes. Yes. This update was small, yes the store is really embarrassing, but you can't say future updates are going to be bad just because of one bad season when the majority have been really good updates. @@LostODST

This is something new entirely, we can't expect this new update format to bring the same quality as seasons and this update proves that. Maybe I jumped the gun a bit early but I find it hard to believe these new updates will be any better than seasons. So far nothing points to that
