Thank you so much for this video! I'm going into my first year of planting this spring too- as far as numbers go (for payout) that sounds like so much more than I've been reading, I was wondering where you're located? I'm in Ontario, Canada.

I worked in BC and after my rookie season, I would say I made approx 10-12 grand! But I invested 2k into gear (definitely overpacked some stuff) and prob spent another 1500 - 2000 during the season on gas because I brought my car & we moved camp 8 times (300-400km each move). So with all that added up, I prob only walked away with about 8K in profit. But everyone is different!

thank you for the amazing video just have a couple questions. When does the season start and end and are you able to join mid-season? also so everyone just stays in their vans or tents?

The season usually starts beginning of May (or late April) and runs until mid-July or August - depending on your company! Unless you're company pays for motels (not all do/all the time), you need to bring your own lodging. Most people do tents, but cars are more comfy if you can afford it! Just beware: I prob spent close to $1000-1500 on gas during the season because we moved around 8 times for different contract (hundreds of km away)

There's a camp cook who makes breakfast and dinner. Lunches you pack yourself, but the ingredients are provided to you. In general the only thing that makes planting worth it IMO is how cheap it is to live out there, you're not paying rent or food bills. But the job itself isn't great, long hours and hard work for pay that isn't what it used to be.

hey I am interested in tree planting, and was wondering if many people from other countries come and do this job , or if they can come and do it , as I am from Australia and want to travel and also do this job

I'm actually in the group myself I'm hellla excited to go tree planting just cause I'm teird of cleaning or serving people it gets boring and went to quick got payed practically nothing for the cleaning job. I like trees not vomit 😂
