For the first time I was attempting to use an often used fragrance oil with cold process soap with a new color choice that is natural called Black Walnut hull powder. When the powder hit the soap it accelerated saponification and turned it instantly into hunks of soap in the bowl and went into gel phase.
What a mess.

Soap on a stick. Lost a bowl to that. Had to boil the bell of my SB.

@@springcreekbathworks5738 - Rustic Escentuals’ Pearberry. I was brand new to soap making and didn’t bother to read about it before purchasing a pound of it (it was on sale). Learned to work with it, but it taught me about learning to make small test batches.

I had that happen to me after using a new fragrance oil.. For now on ill make a small test batch before hand..
