A big thank you I just got into soap making literally 10 days ago. I watched over a 100 videos on soap making already. By far your videos are the most educational. Totally appreciated

Really great video! So many people ask me why I prevent gel or what difference it makes. There is so much information here that I'll be sharing this video often!

@Sparklebrook Gelling or not gelling is pretty much just a personal preference. And it all turns to soap in the end :)

Love the video and I agree with your facts on CPOP soaping I think that it needs proper curing 4-6weeks before using. I have also put soap in the refrig and left it out just to do its own thing and I prefer to just let it do what it wants. I seem to get better results with that method...IMO

Very good class! I'm fairly new to soaping and had been wondering how to "gel or not gel" soap. You also demystified the questions that I had on what effects cure time for soaps. Thank you. I really appreciated this class.

Ok, so my question is.... since you said that milk soaps, or high sugar soaps tend to "cook" in the oven, are they ok to gel at all? Like just wrapping them up in a towel and stuff? Im really new to this and look forward to your answer. Thanks!

very good video...im very new at soaping and couldnt really find a good solid definition for what the "gel phase" really was or how and why it happens and if i have the power to prevent it, this video just about sums it for me....thanks a bunch for this video! *now an official subscriber* :)

I do hp,cp, gel&non gel.Lately I do cp gel with the molds (wooden)wrapped to completely gel Sometimes I get striations of what I believe is pure glycerine, also sometimes it oozes from the soap, but within a week or two seems to go back into the soap. Sometimes this happens, and sometimes it doesn't, any clue? I use my hp soaps a week after they are made and they're fine, what is the diff. between that, and having cp soap gel and why does it seem to take cp 4 weeks to cure vs. hp, and both gel?

I really enjoy all of your videos. I most often use CPOP with my soaps but sometimes I get little bubbles on the edge of the soap. I had my oven checked and its right on so I don't know what's up.

@kangakangaboi Oh Phil is it your birthday? Happy Birthday!! I am sure if your really good you can get a gold star. But no pushing or hair pulling ok. That is fighting dirty. Oh and clean the bottom of your shoes before you slip and fall.

To do or not to do... can't resist....hides Phil's shoes in the 170F oven & before long the scent of Italian leather & testosterone wafts through the classroom >>> Phil won't be mad when he discovers that he gets to walk home from school in nice warm shoes. Thanks for another great lesson Miss C.
