I’ve finally found it. I’ve had this melody stuck in my head for almost my entire life and I’ve finally found it. My family loves Chinese movies so I’m sure I heard it when I was younger, but I haven’t been able to find it until now. I can finally settle that in my mind.

I have a weird history with this song. I first heard it when my sister and some of her classmates performed a Chinese ribbon dance to an instrumental version of this song (her dance class, which was actually a class, had a unit about traditional dances, and her group got Chinese ribbon dance). A few years later, I watch the video of the performance posted on KZfaq (I can't find it now) and asked Siri what the song was. The result was called Than Thoai. I found it on Spotify and even found a duet of the song. Another few years later, I found out that Than Thoai was the Vietnamese version of this song. It's an amazing song, and even though it took me a while to find it, it was all worth it.
