The Social Summit organised by the Portuguese presidency in Porto on May 7th and 8th is an opportunity to take the European Pillar of Social Rights off the page. Discussing the challenge are the summit organiser and former Portuguese employment minister, Jose Antonio Vieira da Silva, the MEPs Agnes Jongerius (S&Ds) and Sandra Pereira (the Left) from the European Parliament employment and social affairs committee and Andreas Botsch, head of the international department of the German Trade Union Confederation DGB.
