Das means'the' . The book was written in German in original. In German each and every word must be associated with an article and as the book comes under neuter gender, the neuter article 'das' is associated. So Das Capital means The Capital.

I don't know how important it is for communism to be established, but I can say that socialism needs to be established. Instead of BJP, bring CPI(M) to the centre.
