I'm watching this while sitting under my ceiling fan that has four light bulb sockets. Am I crazy to imagine having the fan going with one of these socket fans screwed into all four of the light bulb sockets to create some super vortex tornado force that can cause the Earth's rotation to go in reverse or create enough force to lift my entire house off its foundation and send me flying through the air...

I understand what you are implying. Just put your address in the comments and maybe the general populace will start sending you cash to keep you from throwing us all off into deep space. On second thought? Maybe we are already in deep space and your plan will send us all home. Carry on with the fan placement, I'm willing to accept either scenario.

I didn’t have a ceiling fan installed in a small spare room intended for storage but now use for craft room. This might be perfect.

Love the socket fanlight…. I ordered two and BOTH didn’t come with the extension !!! I’ve tried calling numbers for a parts replacement…. NOTHING !!!! Any connections so they can send me out the two missing extensions. THANK YOU !!

I bought mine at WalMart. If I were you I would return them to where you ordered them from! Good luck!

I got mine from Amazon and it came with a socket extension and if you have prime, you just return it or call your bank for your refund and tell them them it didn’t come with the parts that is supposed to

Do you need the remote? I’m hoping that if I have a certain setting for the light/fan, then turn off the unit with the switch, then turn it back on it will remember the setting it was on. I don’t like to use remotes.
@tonysreviews8 ай бұрын
Joe it stays on the setting you put it on with the remote and then you never have to use the remote again unless you want to.

Is this device listed? All electrical devices need to be listed by a nationally recognized testing laboratory. UL, ETL, or other.

i mean its only 50 dollars and its pretty small but im imagining its better than my 1 speed 3 bladed 16 or 17 inch portable ceiling fan thats missing a blade and i never was able to use it thanks to that

I just picked this one up. I like the fan part. But im not happy with the light part. I dont like the color the light pits out or glare that it makes.
@tonysreviews6 ай бұрын
I agree. Light temperature/color temperature is important to a lot of people. That why I think this would be best used in a shed or a situation where lighting is more utility than for a living space like a bathroom or family room.

Yeah, I figure next year they will have an upgrade to the fan where you can choose between this horrible white light and a "warmer" light

Get a solid ceramic socket. It weighs 2 and a half punda or so right? So... it might be okay if you mount it with some solid screws, and no wiggle.

It alright does it's job but only in small bathroom like areas.

I guess I'm the first and only one to notice the fan spins clockwise, righty-tighty. That means the startup torque will make the base spin counterclockwise, lefty-loosy, and will unscrew after a few dozen starts.

If the bulb goes out can you replace it
@tonysreviewsАй бұрын
You cannot replace it. It's an LED strip inside. The good news is that it should have a modern driver and some people estimate them to last up to 20 years.
@paulwade50347 ай бұрын
It doesn’t go counter clock wise so the air goes up and not down… unless somebody can tell me how to switch it to counter clockwise where the air will shoot downward anyone?? Thanks for any help. That so far is the biggest Con…

I've been an electrician for 30 years and I would caution anyone from using this. Ceiling fixtures are generally not designed for the extra weight and the torque.
@jonbee57802 ай бұрын
This doesn’t weigh that much at all, you make absolutely no sense and your years of experience seems to be over exaggerated…..
@timmack24152 ай бұрын
@@jonbee5780 My comment doesn't make sense? I can only explain it to you, I can't understand it for you. I have been an electrician for 32 years. The reason why we have codes (like the NEC) and listing agencies (like UL) are for safety. Ceiling fans require a rated box for that application because of weight, torque load and especially vibration. A standard fixture was not designed or approved for this purpose. Light bulbs don't produce torque, and they don't produce vibrations. If this is truly difficult for you to understand, I would suggest that spent some time doing research instead of commenting on KZfaq. Just an idea

They need to make one with a pass through bulb socket so the consumer can choose the fancy bulb they want instead of having to settle for a 3500K glare with terrible color rendering.
