Same here, but after a total existential mindf**k like that Shinji's test of being back to reality was to give Asuka a nice well deserved choke for all of her mistreatment of him and her mouth. And her gentle touch to his face was basically her way to say "aren't you supposed to just pinch yourself to see if you're still dreaming" baka Shinki? And in the few microseconds after he released his grip, she started thinking about it. After Asuka thought how she and Shinji were basically one and the same person, all she could do is utter the only way she felt about not being her awesome freaking badass self. And that was "disgusting" with a shiver through her body and spine that eventually became relief when she was glad to be back in her own body as herself and not part of everyone as one, especially that clingy Shinji. Gott en Himmel, even as a facet of everyone that boy was still sniveling after her, Rei, and Misato. You'd think becoming One in Instrumentality would homogenize everyone to be unrecognizable eventually into one consciousness. But not with Shinji at the controls. Dude was even more intense now that those three were noncorporeal. Thank goodness he brought everything back to reality and even f**ked that up by not doing a full restoration but just enough to leave the reminder of a giant Rei head looking at the sky until she deteriorates and decomposes, maybe. Who's going to do all the cleaning up? Can new Eva units be made from the crucified carcasses of the production models hanging around? Will the oceans ever become blue again or is it Rei's blood now? Can Rei be cloned again or is there another two or three Rei clones roaming around? All this and more will never be answered unless there's a Evangelion one shot 7.0 - 2.0 He will (not) succeed.

Life gets better. Even if it starts out poor, just hold on. The best sense of purpose is the one you find in yourself, and that just takes time. People come and go, appreciate the time you have with them, and never forget to love yourself, in the beginning, and the end, its all you have, so love it the most. bro, this is well written, my feelings about this anime are the same. It's almost as if the anime itself somehow forces you to watch it again and take some extra points from it depending on what state of mind you're in at the moment.

I think it stimulates us to carry on out of curiosity, I don't have any strenght left in me yet I can't bring myself to end it all because of the thought of what I could've been if life and people were a bit kinder to me. I know I'm worth it, I do love myself but those things alone don't make a life worth living (or suffering) through, yet I still wait...
