Today on SoCraftastic we're painting rubber ducks! Let's transform little toy ducks into custom painted pieces of art. I'm painting with a few types of acrylic paints - Angelus Leather Paint, The Army Painter Warpaints, Apple Barrel, & Americana. It's a rubber duck makeover! Which design is your favorite? I think you should paint the starry night on one of the ducks. I also think you should do more animals. For example, maybe a actual duck for one of them, or a giraffe.

My favourite is the gold duck with the leopard print. Also you could do some of the ducks as the seasons. You could do some as dalmatians. You could make one a clown. You could paint a saddle and reins like a horse would wear. You could paint one with welly boots and tiny umbrellas on it. You could make one have a grey cloud on the head and driving lashing rain running from the head to the tail. You could do one with clouds and tiny flying birds like we used to do as kids, you know, shaped like an 'm'. You could paint one with sunglasses on and a black suit and tie, like men in black! You could paint one with flying goggles and an old fashioned flying scarf like they wore in the earliest form of uniform for the first era of planes. You could paint one with 'Starry Night' by Van Gogh. You could paint one like an apple and put a worm coming out of it. You could paint one with an artist's palette with blobs of paint on it, on one side of the duck, and three paintbrushs on the other side of the duck, coming out from under the ducks wing. That's all I can think of right now. I am sure lots more people will have much better ideas than me. Happy painting!

i try customized a rubber cat and it turns out good!I have a tip for people who don’t have apple berrel or fabric paint,that is to coat the rubber toy with mod podge!(It works for me)and don’t squeeze it alot!

You can first start off by painting white paint or Geso before you paint with the Angelus paint and I believe that the tacky feeling will not be as tacky. Love your channel!! 😃😃

P.s.: Adding mat mod podge over top should also help to make the tacky feeling too.

I would love to see an extended wear test. Such as a week, month, year later, how is the paint holding up? Also, how does the paint hold up sitting in a car front window in the heat/ cold of summer/winter.

I found some rubber Husky’s on Etsy and my daughter painted them to look like our three Siberian Husky’s. They now sit in the front window of my Ford Bronco like you see Jeep people with ducks. I say I have the Husky Edition Bronco!!

I painted rubber ducks and i used acrylic paint and it wasn't too bad. It took between 2-5 coats depending on what you like. If your scared of it getting chipped you can put mod podge on it. For some reason mine are a little sticky. Hope this helps

They're all so cute, very hard to choose just one. The donut or cake duck is super sweet but so is fluff duck and rainbow ducky. Would you paint a hippie duck or a flower child duck. And maybe a smurf duck. I think those would be cute. And you have to paint one to look like your pup 😍 Loved this video Sarah ❤

My idea maybe under the water themed bc they float on the top Also the large duck you got helps test if water is too hot, the blue circle on the bottom will begin to change white as the water gets hoter, if it's fully white it's too hot. We have the same one for my baby brother.
