It's amazing that his friend didn't even notice the loophole in what she said when she said "No more tiny ducks" and when she said that he could have one duck. As soon as I saw that she said one duck, I was just sat there like "Oh my god, he's gonna buy a giant inflatable duck that'll fill the bathroom..."

When the video first aired, I went on Amazon to find the wholesale ducks. It became a thing between me and my sister with moving the ducks around our apartment. She's a teacher now and still keeps ducks around the classroom because it had such an impact on her. I wonder, however, how mt current housemates would react seeing as they don't know about the ducksm

(Firstly - I was gonna say that too. Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve seen it, it’s still comedy gold) I bought ducks thanks to that video too. Every six months or so, when it comes up in my recommended, I watch, then re-find the ducks... I’m sure you can guess what’s about to happen next. Brb, gotta position some ducks. :)

Someone hid loads of tiny ducks around my college. It became a school wide game to find them and rehide them. Some of the teachers started to collect then in their offices, but other teachers would just return them to the students so the game continued!

What I love about his comedy style is that he is able to so perfectly not finish sentences in a way that we all know exactly what he means, but it still comes off as if he’s nervous/unsure/hesitant. It’s a tough line to walk, and he NAILS it!

When my family found this bit a few years ago, we found it absolutely hilarious, so much so that we snuck a few hundred tiny rubber ducks into my brother's wedding. He and his wife thought it was great, we put them around his wedding cake and all around the reception tables. They bought a house, and when we went into the guest bathroom, it was decked out in duckies. This has served to be an awesome bit in our lives, thanks James Veitch!

Hey James, I wanted to let you know that I and my family are fans of yours. I showed mom your imprisoned cat video last night, complete with the cameo add at the end. We then went to cameo and the price for your services didn't look too bad to her. What you would really enjoy, I think, is my mom really loved this skit here with the ducks. So when we saw your "Merchandise for Christmas" video, we were very interested in the shirts. Well, by the time we got to ordering the shirts you were out and we were sad. Well, then you came out with them again and, without my mom finding out you had em again, I ordered her one and gave it to her for mother's day. She was so happy and excited to receive that shirt. In fact, that mothers day is in her top two of favorite mothers days she's had. She also has a ton of ducks now that sit in the bathroom. Hers are all colors and designs though. She still buys ducks when she finds new ones she doesn't have yet. Thank you for doing what you do. You've been a blessing to us.

Fellow duck buyers, share your tales of merriment (and sometimes woe) this video has caused! I’ll start: So, after watching this video, the first thing I did was go out and buy like a half a dozen yellow, and half a dozen colored... and then put them around the house. It was so effective, when my sister went to america, she returned with a rubber duck for me... ... Mum, meanwhile, banished them to my room. So I’ve set aside a shelf specifically for ducks. Just did some spring cleaning, and managed to clean out some extra shelves... The newest shipment should be in soon. :)

Currently I have 17 of them that have been sourced from 6 different countries excluding my own :) my hope for this year was to expand my collection to 20, but considering it's August, and I'm unemployed, this probably won't happen. @@NotApplicable2874 ofc! there was an audition week, lots of blood, sweat and rubberducks before i finally made my decision. Then they became interns and after a month I decided to give them the full-time gig ^^

I love how he didn't really get a crowd reaction with the ducks as ghosts for Halloween, so he just paused an extra long time with ducks with TP on them because it's hilarious.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me the inspiration to prank my newlywed friends with 50 tiny ducks in their getaway car. The bride's brother helped me place them, and it may take a while for them to find them all. 😂

I"m going to be honest, last year because of this vid I covered my mom's house in little painted rubber ducks as a mother's day gift. I started with one out in the open that had a note attached to it "Hey, you found me, congrats, go find my family, there's 100 of us". She really loved the ducks. Thanks for the inspiration

I think one of the cleverest parts of this is they way we are drawn in at 1:38 with "but I don't have any toileteries" because the visual image of the ducks is so dramatic that we suspend disbelief. Of course he has toileteries - even if it's only toothpaste, but our eyes over-rule us with the ducks. He never even says "ducks", he instead says "I just filled mine with as many as I could" and lets our mind do the rest. There was likely no Flatmate Freyer either. It's an absolutely brilliant piece of writing, construction and presentation. Genius work James thank you. I laugh so much whenever i watch it.

If he gets snow where he lives and has the same roommates, he needs "McLows The Original SnowBuddy Snowball Kit" in the duck shape. I also want one. The Facebook ad shows people making little ducky armies outside with it--lawns, cars, curbs, parking machines, etc.
