In this video Mike talks about some of the toughest things he has had to endure while in Ranger Battalion and in RRC. Extremely long Ruck marches, physical hazing, Extreme competitions.

This is one of my favorite channels. I’ve been seeking military knowledge my whole life. Read hundreds of books on weapons, military history, etc. watched countless thousands of videos. I was an 11b but admittedly I was too rebellious in nature for garrison BS. However, I am still very enthusiastic about the infantry. I feel like Mike has the most knowledge out there that has yet to be passed on and I’m here for it. God bless you Mike!

Hot Mike! You are legendary my friend. I was at that Jump package with you when that lone jumper broke his leg in between the power lines, scary jump indeed. Just wanted to say you are one of those leaders I met in my career that made me rethink how a leader in an elite organization should carry themselves. You can still be that rough and tough guy that expects discipline and perfection while also being a humble and genuine human who acts with kindness. I’ve also never wanted to be an RRC operator more in my life than after spending a few weeks with a couple of you guys haha. Keep rolling brother, God is good.

Hey brother thanks so much for the kind words!! You just made my day. I really enjoyed training you guys more than anyone!! You MARSOC guys were very smart, fit, humble, and willing to learn! The best environment to be an instructor in.

I absolutely loved Mike's previous interviews. Got lucky with the algorithms showing me a short or i would have had no clue. Oddly, i dont really watch shorts but they promoted that way anyway

Hey Mike great video! With all the experience you’ve had with rucking it would be super beneficial if you had a rucking video where you can talk about preferred rucksacks, boots, techniques, and how to train for rucks, just an idea thanks for the kickass videos!

I almost did but we missed each other by at least a foot. those guys were probably going 160-180MPH head down and I was trying to close on them, then had to throw on the air brake to flare out and stop on level with them.

Top notch reflexes to pull that move. Also, I dig your Bible posts. I am on my own journey here as well. I am reading Jeremiah for the first time today. So far it seems…timely.

@@RRCMikeEdwards yea bro i haven’t been through that type of hazing but I’m sure they do it for a reason. But i have beat the shit out of my body through the years with all the martial art wrestling included and the motorcross, the crashing during motorcross 😂 the street fights the pits at hardcore shows god bro i can’t even remember most of the shit. But i promise there is so much more 😂😂 I hope your body is doing better than mine but I have a feeling it’s not. 😂😂 honestly though every bodies on the Navy Seals dicks but I 100% would have gone 75th Rangers bro.

Thank you for the video, Mike. I have a question that you might not have encountered yet. Have you ever experienced poor leadership, either militarily or politically, that put lives at risk? If so, how did you navigate and manage that risk and obstacle?
@RRCMikeEdwards
@RRCMikeEdwards 20 күн бұрын
Yeah brother I have encountered that on rare occasions. It was usually Ranger Officers or senior JSOC Officers who wanted "numbers" over quality missions. Guys would get pissed because they were risking their lives driving down IED laden roads for nothing over and over again. We are happy to go out and fight anyone anytime but let's be smart about it and not just go out to go out!

Hey Mike, if you could, to the extent that you can, talk about working with OSTs while being in RRC.

Can you talk about foreign units that you've worked/trained with during your time in RRC? Like the Aussies or other tier 1 recon units
@RRCMikeEdwards
@RRCMikeEdwards 22 күн бұрын
I would not have much to say. Ive only worked with Aussie SAS and British SAS, and JTF2 from Canada but each time I worked with these guys were just one off missions so I never got a feel for how well these guys worked certain mission sets. I probably worked with the British SAS the most and they were good guys but lightyears behind us in the US military as far as funding, Funding really effects a units performance because it is needed to do realistic training, the more funding the more realistic the training can be, then you also need funding for equipment, technology that can be used to make you more lethal if you have the funding it makes your unit more capable. When I worked with the SAS they were still doing missions with white lights and no night vision, very few of the operators had night vision. Im sure that has changed but thats the way it was back in the early 2000's

Should I let politics stop me from joining? Just seeing what's going on at the top and their agendas and knowing how they'll be directing foreign policy puts me off. Maybe if trump wins? I'm already 23 so it's now or never. You've been through it, what would you do today?
