Follow-up Question: How do guys define "THE FIRST MOVE?" Cause some say it's asking someone out but some say it's literally just starting a conversation. 🤔🤔🤔
@FNelson2 жыл бұрын
I think it comes down to intentionality. When a man is intentional and begins to pursue your feelings that’s a first move. Asking you out for coffee outside of our friends group for the intention of getting to know you more, that’s a first move.
@victoriazornes99372 жыл бұрын
@@FNelson Thanks for your perspective. I appreciate your answer!
@the.victorgeorge2 жыл бұрын
I literally had the same question. Because for me I feel like first move is someone shows interest like you said starting a conversation, which I don't mind if a girl makes the first move. Pursuit is like asking someone out on a date or like 'Hey, I want to get to know you more' and I think that should be on the guy.
@aurograce29832 жыл бұрын
@@the.victorgeorge for me a first move is when he(or she) asks you out separate from the friend group, like me and my boyfriend went to lunch between classes in college and I consider that a first move. He officially asked me out a few weeks of talking and going out to eat and going to the park

Honestly, it’s so hard meeting guys who think in this way. It’s different being Christian with being Godly. Especially since being part of a ministry and many guys run away knowing a girl has a strong relationship with God. It’s honestly a challenge and i feel like many just want to be loved and forget that with God, we are already loved. Also, many guys just want to be intimate and just have “fun”. That’s also a challenge and temptation is always going to be there, and that’s why having a strong relationship with the Lord is so important and I feel like having someone in the same mindset as you is so important. That doesn’t stop temptation but having the Holy Spirit guide us is honestly so important to me. We all have a goal in the Lords path. It’s hard but not impossible.

@@strawberrynoodles5470 I’m glad to know there’s guys who are like that in your area. There isn’t a lot of youth at least where I go who want that commitment. Not everywhere is the same. But I firmly believe that the time will come and God’s plan and timing will be perfect.

“Know yourself before getting into any relationship with someone” felt that…a lot of us get into relationships without dealing with our personal traumas or understanding why we do certain things and that ends up ruining something beautiful because we fail to take time to ourselves and work on ourselves individually.

I love the touch on boundaries. It is so so important to treat all your female and male friendships the same because if there is not any boundaries, emotional chastity is very important!!

I appreciated this video! I share the same convictions that these guys mentioned and it really can feel at points like so few guys share my beliefs. I also appreciated Daniel's honesty about getting close to "the line" without straight up discussing feelings with a girl, because I've had that happen and it's definitely not the best to be on the receiving end. Excited for Part 2 :)

Thank you guys so much for your feedback. Honestly, other than at a few youth group meetings at my church where there are very few guys, I have never heard Christian young men discuss any of these topics. It's really refreshing and I hope and pray that there are a lot more young men such as yourselves out there because from where I'm standing it looks pretty dim.

These men give me hope! So glad to see some young people think and act this way. I wish where I lived there could be a space like this where young adults talk about these subjects and potentially find a good christian husband/ wife.

At 27 years old I truly respect this! My church doesn't have that many consistent guys who attend or have these values! Thanks for being vulnerable and reminding us that there are still men out there chasing after Christ!

Wow what Daniel said around 12:00 hit me like a box of bricks. Watch how you treat up ur girl friends so when you like a girl you clearly treat her different than all your girl friends. I feel like I’ve come to an age where you know I’m not smothering every guy who is my friend in hugs and attention and quality time because having been in a more serious relationship before, I’ve learned how special a deep, intimate, unique relationship is. You know, if the only difference between your boyfriend and your guy friends is that you kiss and cuddle a boyfriend but all other levels of your relationships with guy friends are the same as with a boyfriend, it takes away from that depth and intimacy you want cultivated in a romantic relationship. I’m so glad I can see that now and understand it so much more hearing those words put to it. I’m loving this video series; it’s so encouraging and helpful hearing from other believers who might be more serious or mature in their faiths than people you’re used to encountering and hearing from in your day to day life💙

These guys probably watch a lot of Paul Washer sermons because Paul speaks about relationships/friendships between men and women. There are boundaries. But it’s good to know there are Godly men who are praying for their wife, sometimes it feels like my standards are ridiculous but hearing what they want in a partner and how it’s what I want, it makes me realize this work is not in vain.

It’s honestly amazing to see young men actually have standards and know what they want in a woman I feel like you really don’t see that the only standards they have is on a woman’s appearance and it’s really just comforting to see that not everyone is like that👏🏽 God Bless you all
@vivaeuropa Жыл бұрын
As a 23 year old man I agree. I feel like an alien because I have Godly standards set for a women even before I was a believer I had housewife standards for a women. Nowadays men will be with literally anyone as long as the girl's physical appearance is somewhat attractive.
