I've got the regular omen 8 and although it plays nice the pickups sound a little muddy. Haven't played the omen elite but I would only imagine the pickups sound better on this one right?

They sound pretty tight on my setup (Marshall MG100HFX, MXR Fullbore Metal) nothing fancy. I'd probably keep them stock just for the look alone though. In person they're pretty sick!

are the knobs carved in the body or could be swapped for a different shape?

You can pull them off with a little force. They are a bit recessed into the body but you could easily swap them out.

@@ThrillHouse666 I have a Silver Mountain, looking to add this to the collection, thanks for the review it helps a lot! I was gonna get the Apocalypse red reign but the knobs are so close to the strings its very uncomfortable, and this one seems reasonably priced
