Have a good friend who had one. He had to sell it because he needed money for his daughters college education. He claimed it was the best bike he ever owned hands down and he often gets all teary eyed when he shows people pictures of the bike. Its sad when people have to part with something that is there pride and joy. Subscribed. Tom Bousquet-Connecticut.

I took my riding test at the DMV on this exact bike, tried on a buddies crotch rocket and failed twice, tried on my springer and only missed 1 point. Always got compliments on it for being a heritage classic springer with black forks and the black cherry paint, was a beautiful bike.

+sam smith - They seem pretty much like a normal bike, other than a lot of mechanical parts moving about with the front end. I've heard some people say they handle bad, but I haven't experienced that yet... Thanks Sam!

+Shawn Smoak Those that say they handle and ride bad probably never rode one. Throw the wind screen on it, leather up and spend an afternoon on it and it just might join your stable. Great videos.

Shawn, can you talk a little more about that springer front end? Why does it feel a bit harsh etc?

I would love a blast on one of those, or the Crossbones for that matter. They're as rare as hens teeth over here, so when they do come up they're very pricey! I'm looking closely at getting a Switchback shortly having previously seriously considered a 72 (gorgeous little bike) but I'd like a bit of comfort for touring and I love the way it picks it's styling cues from a 1970s Electraglide. Watch this space!

+pgod1960 - Oh man yeah, that Switchback will be tons more comfortable if you plan on taking some longer rides. The 72 is an awesome around town bomber though. Thanks man!

The Softail Heritage Classic Springer is one of my favorites & on my list of bikes I'd like to own. Maybe someday I'll just put a springer front end on on of my bikes I already have

I rode an 05 with the skinny front tire with 16 in apes so unstable scared the crap out of me. I had to ride it in the gravel.

Oh yeah you guys sold the F3 and the dude brought it back like a day later huh? Weird that it's still sitting there unsold, sounds like they put the stock exhaust back on.. boring if they did. Is that the same balanced motor that you say is so gutless? I have to admit Springers are seriously cool looking. Some companies in the aftermarket make ones with gas or even air shocks on them so you get a better ride with the coolness of a springer.

you say it's the shops Springer ? Does that mean it's not going to the sales floor ? Like previously mentioned I'd like a CrossBones to ride. But I have no idea how they ride. You say the Springer has a somewhat harsh ride ? And do the balanced engines out out less power. I think I remembered you riding a FatBoy or something like that for a test ride and it bad a " B " for balanced engine. You didn't like the lower power output. Anyway, thanks for taking us along. tcrs !

+Richard Enstad - I meant the store's (sales) bike... I completed a Used Vehicle Inspection and was test riding her afterwards. She's on the floor for sale now. The Springer front ends just aren't as smooth and flowing as forks, but they sure are cool looking! I don't think the B motors are necessarily making less power, they just seem to rev slower with all the counter weights and extra drive chain. My personal opinion is that they feel and sound more like a metric cruiser than a true Harley. But that's just me... Thanks Richard!
