All these stories people have, make me proud to be an american. My great uncle got a bronze star by saving an officer during an artillery strike in Vietnam. Don’t know what rank he was but apparently a bridge collapsed and he saved him from drowning.

There is something so wonderful about this Vietnam-era rotorhead veteran, who's seen some of the worst life can give, excitedly talking about gaming computers, steam and Arma. It just brings a goofy smile to my face watching that part. Thank you Crew Chief Haase, you really made my day. :D

This video title is wild…my fathers brother was named Don Haase. My brother is a flight nurse on civilian helos. Our relative, Peter “Gunnarson” Rambo back in the 1600s was the originator of the Rambo name. Our step father a retired Marine Corp Vietnam vet. I recognize the diff of WW2 and Vietnam folks and situations but the Vietnam folks always seem way more affected. One of the most mentally impacting YT videos I’ve ever seen was a Vietnam War Mortuary Affairs soldier. The Vietnam era guys have wild stories but are rapidly aging…it’s worth your time and theirs to learn about their service.
@mikeryan1953

The Vietnam vets were more effected simply because with the advance of technology they were being flown in by helos thus getting into far more engagements Rather then walking across open country or jungle

I’ve read that the Vietnamese are a generation away from change. Here in Missouri we have had Marian Days, a Vietnamese Catholic event where we have 50k Vietnamese related folks in a town of 12k for just under a week…the entire event based on historical fathers. The Vietnamese people are an interesting people.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I had 2 uncles that were in that war. One was a chopper pilot, airborne ranger, that supposedly went down crop dusting days after getting out of the military in '68 (as well as his battle buddy in the same week, same company). The other uncle was in Cambodia. He lives in Arizona these days. He was not the same person when he came back.

Ghostrider Don here; One Silver Star and eight Distinguished Flying Crosses. What Tilt and I failed to mention was that Col. Drake the B-56 Sigma commander recommended that nine 195th. AHC pilots be awarded one Silver Star and eight Distinguished Flying Crosses for the two Prairie Fire type extractions under fire of the six man recon team and the thirty man Hatchet force during the typhoon. Which they were later awarded by Major General Robert Williams commanding General of the 1st. Aviation Brigade.

Not that John Stryker Meyer will read this but is there anyone who may know how to find out if my dads best friend was in SOG? In high school, I had to do a report by interviewing someone and I chose Buddy Phillips. I'm sure Buddy wasnt his real name but as a lazy student I waited until the last minute to interview him. He told me all about the time before he got to VietNam but once it came time to answer questions about what he did while he was there his answer was "I was dropped off at point A and picked up at point B." Any question I asked about more details the answer was "I cant tell you that." Where were you stationed in Vietnam? "I cant tell you that." Every question was answered with "I cant tell you that." It was a terrible report. I waited too late to do something else so my paper got a D. If anyone has a way to find out lemme know. Buddy has long passed and my father passed two years ago.

August 29th 2022, a survivor of war crimes committed in North America, continues to develop novel electronic components ..from the recycle bin, they deny me opportunity, resources, emergency medical treatment, family and nourishment here ..but I was raised alongside veterans of WWII, not those who indulged the symbols of white supremacy that came after. Veterans of Korea and thereafter were considered shady, they "spooked the horses" of multiculturalism ..we did not possess enough information then to precise a specific denunciation, that might have ended the abuses indulged by white supremacy-harbouring traitors. So far this is working well, the novel component was partially charged, revealing the expected lop-sided signal ..the configuration of materials seems to behave as I had pictured in my mind's eye. With only a pair of scissors and a multi-meter, I did not even trip a breaker with the first test. I like where these parts are leading further design choices, that which is confirmed also informs and prepares subsequent development. Designing an audio amplifier to raise the bar above existing audio specifications, at the very least there will be a novel circuit with an alternate tone to add among the existing technologies of various eras.

The "jig is up" and the secrecy no longer worth a salary, for turning a blind eye. It matters little that I am ignored, the perpetrators are being faced with the mistakes and lies they indulged, no honesty, no safety. A lie is an improvised explosive device, on a question of time fuse ..hence the Chris Costas, being disguised in order to smuggle-out the bigots, white supremacists and Nazis that are guilty of war crimes. I have not exaggerated, the perpetrators really did cover themselves in Nazi symbols, to join the guilty group of TaskFORCE members. Indulgents, turncoats and losers of the two decade-long game of Russian Roulette they seem to have lost.

From memory, the larger helicopters in the series had between 2000 and 3000 hp turbine engines. I wanted the engine for a project ..I am not quite ready yet ..there is more of charge gradient physics to elaborate. If I saw it working in my mind's eye, I knew that I was capable of filming the first experimental application of several technological developments ..that is my "gig."
