We are all creatures of habit, and that includes our four legged friends. They have grown accustom to us being around the house a lot more since the start of the pandemic. When we stop working through zoom and the kids go back to school our dogs may be in for a shock. How can we help prepare our pets for the adjustment and avoid problems such as separation anxiety and fear?
Jan Magnuson has raised and trained dogs for many years. She has assisted thousands of people and dogs throughout the years by instructing Basic Obedience/Good Manners group classes and doing individual dog training evaluations/consultations, and she is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
In this video, Jan will give us many tools we can use to be sure our dogs are happy, healthy, and ready for us to go back to work. The most important aspect of these suggestions is to start today to prepare your dog for the future.
UPDATE - Since recording this video, the Des Moines Fieldhouse and Burien Community Center have re-opened and Jan is currently teaching Basic Obedience/Good Manners group classes there. Register for her upcoming sessions!
