I danced in argentina too, and like a relaxed dancing once in a while. What's important is the connection, feeling and musicality (and they lack a bit of it on this video anyway ;) )

This dance is better classified as tango nuevo and not kizomba because: 1) aside from 1:46~ 1:51 in the video, the signature hip-swaying of kizomba is missing. 2) aside from the slow sections of the song, the dance moves are crisp (you can see clearly defined starts and stops) Also, an interesting fact about Homer & Cristina: their current practice is that they don't rehearse their performance pieces; before each performance, they talk about about which moves would be good fits considering a given section of the music AND the lesson they teach right before the performance, and they don't talk about exact sequences either. In my opinion, an improvised dance will always have more passion than a choreographed dance.

Impressions from one who is decidedly NOT well versed in Latin dancing: I have, however, viewed so many videos featuring a wide variety of Tango being danced that I have lost count. The man was so inappropriately dressed, particularly made worse by the comparison to the woman who IS suitably costumed. Personally, I wouldn't think of going to the store so sloppily attired. Thus, the stage was not set for the dance to even begin. The performance itself was amateurish looking, so I was amazed to learn that they teach dance. Moreover, I didn't like the posture--by comparison of what I've watched almost borders on slovenly. Mine is a mere opinion and of course, I'm well prepared to be corrected by those who are versed in Latin dance. The music? Absolutely divine!

Sorry but... The song is a Kizomba... And they are dancing Tango?! The person who has never heard a Tango will think it is a Tango. The one who know it's a Kizomba will think they dance Kizomba. Don't forget the meaning of each dance...

Sorry but "mil Pasos" is not tango, about the dancers, no matter what kind of latinamerican rhythm would be playing I am sure they would be doing the same movements. at least they are having fun

There is no right way to dance tango, I don't like this style, but not because there is no "passion" or because the music is not a "tango. a tango is simply a 2x4 time or 2x8 time if you follow Chicho's rules con el contro-tiempo. Basically no-one should tell you that this is not tango, because this is not salon, this is not milongero etc.. and the fact that you're argentinian won't change anything,

I daren't even comment on this performance for fear of using impolite language. The work 'tango' is used but I fail to see the connection between their performance and tango. They are not even particularly good dancers, and as to the way Homer is dressed is an insult to his captive audience, looks more like a garbage collector than a performer
