Currently looking at the 350z hr single turbo kit very tempting!, will the vq35hr hold up with 450whp?

Currently, we are pushing 604 whp on our shop car with the hr single turbo and 208K miles motor. We would wouldn't recommend for customers, but it'll do 450 whp easily. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pLCGjM6WtJm9XX0.html

can you tune the stock ECU? turboing mine in a couple of weeks and I was going to drive down to Z1 to get it tuned, but I'm unaware if you can tune a stock ECU. Using a rev9 turbo kit. 650cc injectors, bigger fuel pump

Andrew Wormington 450whp would prob be max, but even at 400whp it's putting lots of stress on the engine... Most high boost DEs blow

@@_ballerlol. the MAX horsepower is at the top end of rev range. Unless you’re driving to redline, banging gears every shift, daily driving is far from stressing the motor… Most people probably don’t even rev past 3-4k for everyday purposes.

Im only 13 so dont know too much about cars but i want to get a 350z when im old enough and if i get a de engine is it possible to swap it to a hr engine?

It would be possible but would take some work. We'd likely recommend just saving up and getting an HR at that point. Common swap ends up being VHR bottom end with the HR heads for people looking to hold more power for boost if you wanted to research more. In a few more years it should be interesting to see where we are, a lot of people are looking at putting VR30 motors from the Q50/Q60 in DEs now.
