Believe it or not Sohyang was in tears as she left the stage, because she wasn’t happy with her performance!!!!!! Impossible for us mere mortals to see how this could have been any better, how do you better perfection?

She sobbed as she walked out after the song. A reporter chased her and asked. "Sohyang, why are you crying? Did you make a lot of mistakes?" "I don't think I did it right..." Afterwards she continued to explain, regaining her emotions in the next scene. "I told so. I wanted to make a perfect performance. To do that, I had to control my emotions but I didn't." According her explanation the reason of her frustration was that she poured out too much emotion than she had intended. How ironic is this? As we all know, the highlight of this song is a STORM OF EMOTION, not moderation of emotion. Meanwhile, another video clip contains two brief pre-interviews, almost in the highlights of the song (what a silly edit to insert an interview that interferes with the appreciation of a historical masterpiece?!), she said. "The only thing I felt while singing this song was pain. So I'll cry for you (to channel the pain)." If this interview contains her truth, she achieved a complete success, because she literally cried for all of us! So her disappointment can be interpreted in two ways. #1: chasing her post-performance interview, she let go of her emotions and ruined the song (OMG she really might think so!) She really wanted a perfection. It was the second competition after debuting as a pop singer. She had to survive a match with some of Korea's top singers. I wonder how nervous it was. #2: she has achieved her purpose. She poured out (a beauty of) pain to the whole audience and channelled it into tears as she stated at pre-interview. Ok, alright. But how can you explain her backstage crying? IMHO, wasn't it because of her remaining emotions, engulfed in a storm of emotion created by herself?

Sohyang, SHE is NOT just a singer.... and NOT a human. Whenever I hear her singing,, I become automatically very happy & cry. She has special power-Not only technique, but feeling~~~^^♡

Another ENTHUSIASTIC/AWESOME reaction to another MASTER CLASS performance by the 8th Wonder Of The World, So Hyang. Travis, your facial expressions throughout the song are priceless. You have yet to react to at least one song, where So Hyang sustains an already impressive high note, and just as it appears the note is finished, she takes it even higher. PLEASE.....at your earliest convenience, react to So Hyang's singing, 'Day Day', at the Begin Agsin Korea, mini concert series. Where Are You performance teaches what it means to sing with your soul. 🎤 Definitely on my podium with Bridge Over Troubled Water and Everyone. Sohyang is a talent for conveying emotions, she is the personification of what music must be.

Loved your comment. I alway think in my mind the same thing when she does her thing. Nobody goes off better than So Hyang. Especially the duration, control, emotion and power all wrapped into one amazing performance after performances.

One of my fav performances from So Hyang out of all of them 😍 love your reaction!! You should check out 'So Hyang -Dream' or her duet 'Vibe feat. So Hyang - Lying'... and if you haven't already you should check out 'Big Mama - killing voice performance' it's about 24mins long BUT worth every second with these power vocals!!! 😊

This song is one of South Korea's most powerful ever written, I have seen many covers of this song but three remain as the best Kim So Hyang, Cho Yong Jin aka ALi, and Cha Ji Yeon. You should check out So Hyang best friends who are always there for one another and doing duets, Cho Yong Jin and Park Ki Young three of South Korea's greatest singers, the other two are extremely underrated and it is a crying shame especially my favorite Cho Yong Jin aka ALi for me out of the three is the best and people need to hear her she is more than just amazing and Phenomenal she is the one I call "The Crying Voice of South Korea" she literally makes her listeners cry with her magical voice. The Korean Hy sound is really hard for many Americans to pronounce. You need to put more air in the H sound, but in this case, I do think it is appropriate to simply call her “So Young”. She is over 40 years old and yet she looks like someone in her mid to late 20s. She just look “So Young”. 🤣😂😍😍
