Solar Blanket Test on a Cloudy Day - How Did it Do?!
I recently purchased a portable 200 watt solar panel blanket by Lensun Solar specifically for my off-road camper trailer when we are overloading and camping off grid. The solar blanket allows us to place the solar panel away front the camper when our campsite is in the shade.
In this video I go over the specs, included accessories and real life testing on a cloudy day!
During testing I use a multimeter to test the actual output of the panel and compare the results against my Goal Zero Yeti 500x portable power station. The you won't believe the results!

I just ordered the 200W blanket, it has 6 hooks on the side, I follow the sun ants around 5 pm I hung I on the side of the truck’s box and get pretty goon result. 8amps at 130 W,, it came with a MPPT solar charge controller and I can see what’s happening with the blue tooth app. I am surprised that the blanket is smaller than some year ago review that have 12 panels instead of the now 9. How do I know that it’s really a 200W blanket? Thank you for this video !

I got a 70.8v 300w solar blanket with about same panels as yours but larger.. flat on the ground clear skies sunny I get 170w, if I put it at a angle on a stand I get 240w so put it on the ground will give you way less wattage.. As for amps and volts flat on ground I got 45v and 12amps, on angle 61-63v and 18a.. Though I found it weird on a different day in semi clear skies with direct sun I got 301w, 65v, 21amps.. So Unsure why it was less testing it on another day...weird

Interesting Allsha can I ask what latatude you are at and if tested on cloudy day???

If 200 watts you clearly do not get nearthat in sun. makes ,e want to know what latitude or state or some idea.

How did you check current without a load on the panel? Current is measured inline, not across the load. I've popped a fuse or 2 in my multi meter when I forgot to move the leads from amps to volts and was checking battery state.

I disconnect the multimeter, swap the leads, reconnect to the positive and negative wires, then turn it back on. If you keep it connected and try to swap the leads on the multimeter, you'll definitely blow a fuse or even break it...ask me how i know. Lol 😂
