these ecoline vans are very rare here in Europe. What are the differences between E150, E250 and E350? Just engine size?

It was hard to tell, so bear with me … were the solar panels on the roof secured down with just industrial *duct tape* on the outside edges?

I have a ford e150 1999 I'm learning how to put a flexi 100 watt on my hood. It seems to me that hood gets hot and that heat will come through to the 100 watt panel and destroy it. I'm unsure of how to do this properly. Some say I can just put the 3M double sided tape on my van hood and panel and it would be fine. Hmmm. I'm doing my research! It's exciting but scary. lol. My van is my camper and I have 2,000 inverter! Great video!

I put the kilmat on all the large surface areas of the metal...basically anywhere that could possibly vibrate or make noise

I calculate 44 amps with full sun. I would up grade your controller as well
@drawersystems
@drawersystems 25 күн бұрын
In hindsight I would have upgraded the solar controller first thing.
@ernestcook4285
@ernestcook4285 25 күн бұрын
@drawersystems joy of learning. Another issue is that your original lead wires to the controller are most likely not rated for 44 amps. 8 guage solar cable wire. The same guage needed the controller to the battery.

The best camper van build of all. How much did this camper conversion cost and how long? Did you do all by yourself?
@drawersystems
@drawersystems 25 күн бұрын
Wow! thank you so much. Yes I did the entire build myself. I didn't really break down the material cost to build it...just tried to keep costs low as possible and by doing everything myself I saved a ton. I'm guessing somewhere around $7k in materials.

I'm buying one of these exact units tomorrow to do the same thing with. Question? How easy is it to pull the chairs out and is there a lot of holes when you do? And the solar panels...... I live in Oregon so not a lot of sun here all the time. But we get a lot of rain. How safe is it to leave those out in rain?
@drawersystems
@drawersystems Ай бұрын
Congrats on the new purchase! The seats weren’t easy to get out and I highly recommend using an impact tool. There will be holes and you can use to silicone to seal them up. Lastly solar panels should be fine in the rain but need to be secured properly to the vehicle.

Thanks! There are bolts on both sides….the ones I used though are very low profile and rounded so you would never even notice them.

Lead-acid batteries are only good for 50% usage, a 100ah battery is actually a 50ah battery, so your 75ah batteries were actually 35ah each. You just installed a true 200ah battery

If you coil the We Boost antenna cables you are creating a choke and it will limit the performance of the amplifier and probably make it overheat and eventually fail.

I hate my van setup now that I've seen the potential of ample, accessible space with pride of opening the doors to onlookers. 🥺😱 I'm 6 1 so I appreciate the lengthwise bouch (bed/couch).❤ Being able to sit up straight was a huge thing for my overall bed height.😊 I was skeptical at first seeing the open floor plan - where's your clothing etc?😮 But after seeing the "wall of wonder" I can imagine all my stuff being easily organized.🎉 The ski slider drawer is amazingly logical. ✅ Love the fridge side slide style. Keep it tucked. Porta potty mouth 👄 hideaway is so ideal. Just hop in, hop on and go. 💩 I can see myself comfortably chilling out in there. I have an electric scooter that would sit way back during the trip, along with folded cart dog pull cart. Bed into bed mode allows me to keep the scooter tucked away. The garage is a brace for pillows. Wide bed mode for me and the dog. Soooooo loving the logic of the build in regard to space without moving stuff to access stuff. Jealous 😢
