Citroen Cx gti turbo 2 .....Mercedes 600 sel w140 ....Jaguar xj308 ....Ferrari 456 gt ... 5 country 5 cars I OWNED ONE OF EACH .....for more of 5 years and lot of miles (over 50 000 each) .... my best cas was these choice of 5...... ( i re buy an S600 w140 for this reason)

Citroen's, esp. the older ones, are such awesome cars. I was a little kid when they exited the states. Back then, they had things like cruise control, intermitted wipers, and THAT suspension as well as being able to drive on 3 wheels in an emergency. They were far ahead of everyone else. Too bad we lost them and I hope they return here one day....Peugeot too. I would love to buy a used one, but afraid it would be cost prohibitive.

Some technologies developed by Citroen (like the suspension) were ahead of their time. The car still looks modern today and this one is in mint condition (in my opinion).

Nice to see prices are going up. Got a warehouse full of panels, loads of engines and gearboxes with new old stock also. Looks like my 30 years of hoarding and saving might pay off.👍

J'ai 43 ans et vers 1986 (j'avais a peine 9ans et demi) quand la CX a eu droit a son restylage je la trouvais super futuriste bien mieux que l'ancienne veillotte ! les années passent la nostalgie est la , et ça continue ! parcontre j'ai un certain doute sur certain model de voitures actuelles quand a leur avenir en collection ...

Cousin had one while I had GTI. Both were quick but the Turbo 2 was exceptional. This one would be a good one to refurbish. Looked ok on film but roof a mess bonnet front edge filler work poor and bumper and wheels need attention. A close up look would show its had a quick tidy up and blow over so would be a good start if it was bought at right price.

Some peoples dont like the "new restyle" comin 1985(1986) ,i'm from 1977 and when the CX restyle come ,especially the 25 GTI TURBO ...WoW !!! the era when factorys maked a nice and durable cars ^^

Having one myself, 1989 75k miles S2 T2, I find that the engine doesn’t sound too healthy! Prices are going up and for a good one calculate with $25k or more.

Appena finito il militare la stavo comprando nuova, era esposta dal signor Cunzolo, zona caposoprano, vicino ospedale di Gela, era esposta nera con interni in pelle nera bellissima, e non costava tanto era la 2500td pallas, costava 11 milioni, e abbiamo comprato la 112 abart nuova, 7milioni.

@@koomky la premiere cx de mon pere fut la 2400 GTI de 82..la 128cv (c edt passé a la 2500 en 83 et 138cv) pare choc metal puis on a eu une 25 gti turbo premiere serie..toujours parechoc metal peint je crois....de janvier 1985. La 168cv .... puis on a eu la PRESTIGE TURBO 2 PARE CHOCS PLASTIQUE 168cv

Great car even for bad guys,A lot of french politicians used a CX and same thing in Spain,where Citroen made the CX for a short time.Also used in the Tour of France for years.

The only thing that the CX "needed" to be perfect was 4WD, but since perfection doesn't exist we just have the best FWD od all time.

@M then you're prooving my point: it was already a fast car for its time with good handling, just add 4wd to relieve the front axle and give the car a better weight distribution. On my eyes that was a missed oporrunity by Citroën.

mon pere avait la cx 25 GTI TURBO 2 un veritable avion de chasse sur autoroute sauf que les TRX coutait en 1989 1250 frs pieces je ne sait pas si ils se fabrique toujours ? mais quel classe cette voiture !!!!

Would have loved this but apparently the tyres for those wheels now have to be custom made and cost a fortune. If this had a 6 cylinder engine it would have been a world beater. That four pot doesn’t quite cut it. I am considering a C6 V6 Diesel.

Αυτοκινητο με επιδοσεις,ανε,ση αεροδυναμικη,οδικη συμπεριφορα,που αλλοι κατασκευαστες καταφεραν να πλησιασουν το cx ,χρονια αργοτερα.Παντως αν ηταν 5θυρο,θα νταν ακομη καλυτερο.
