Waves crashing against our home, as I beg my wife to leave for MAINE with me. We could live like kings and Maine. Home. Barn. Basement. Attic. I miss. 100 acres. Next to a lake. Growing up in Waterville with Grandfathers Camp at BELGRADE LAKES, well, spoiled this Mainer. In US Army Europe I loved bragging about Maine. Stories of the Camp. I get it Kookie! Having lived on a 33 acre ranch where the nearest neighbor was one mile away - anytime you can see or hear your neighbor it’s too close, especially when I’m using my gun range.

Buy a Maine farm property, go drill two wells, the frostless hydrant in the finished stables, add full septic system, two large hay barns, the pole barns, the concrete 175' long feed pad and heated shop/garage with 14' doors. Add a cape style extremely well built rugged one owner cape style 4 bedroom home with oak floors, custom kitchen, porch and full insulated basement. Can't do all that with the cost of materials and how stretched local tradesmen are to get something like that build on 75 extremely scenic rich soil farm and wood acreage @JoeD .
