When I was in Japan, I bought one of these fruit sandwiches just out of curiosity but wasn’t expecting much from them cuz it’s just fruit, cream, and bread. When I took a bite out of it, it was perhaps the best dessert I’ve ever had! Most of them even put custard in the middle. It’s like a fruit tart but with sweeter fruit and the texture is soft and fluffy whereas a fruit tart is a bit heavier.
@deficator750

@@deficator750 The cream they use is probably very light and airy, while custard made for a typical tart is porbably just denser, even though there's less volume. That's my guess.

@@deficator750 Shes probably talking about the tart shell that the fruit and custard sits in. It’s usually made with a graham crust and “heavy” so it doesn’t get soggy and fall apart whereas the bread is light and fluffy. In reality it’s actually quite different because the fruit tart is made with a custard and these fruit sandwiches are made with a whipped type of cream.

Except the excessive use of single use plastic 🙄 I mean, the gloves they wear are disposable, each piece of packaging is disposable 😳 And they were all sold out immediately...yikes 😱😭🌏💔 使い捨てプラスチックの過度の使用を除いて🙄つまり、彼らが着用する手袋は使い捨てであり、パッケージの各部分は使い捨てです😳そしてそれらはすべてすぐに売り切れました...😱😭🌏💔

I have both never heard of a fruit sandwich, or wanted one so badly in my entire f***ing life! Easy to see why there's a line and the store sells out immediately. These look decadent but light as air all at once. There's something about watching people expertly slice up fruit that always makes it look irresistibly delicious.

Those grapes are so impossibly green, the strawberries look so perfectly ripe... And everything's so big! I'm way more impressed by the fruit than the sandwiches I mean, come on, they put an entire orange in there at 9:00. How is anybody supposed to fit their mouth around that for a bite?

I love how they really talk up this store by saying they pretty much close after opening since the sandwiches are in high demand... but throughout the video it's very obvious that they're a mom and pop store (not owned by a chain) and value quality over quantity which is nice and their sandwiches are probably really amazing but that's one of the bigger reasons they get sold out faster... they look really yummy though
