I like them all but Bogner & Soldano are my favourites for my style. The Bogner is probably more more versatile and tweakable. However, this just does ‘that thing’. I enjoyed it right out of the box with everything set straight up.

@@DanLeggatt I'm just fed up with hearing millions of reviews all about the same thing and they're all positive and yet there's no difference between all the other amps you hear a month earlier. You yourself gave the same positive review to the Bogner mini amp. I just find all these reviews completely useless because they will not tell you the significant difference in anything they sell because they want to sell it all. I have lots of gear. I know pretty much what makes all the gear different and sound different and I can play something that will demonstrate that. And yet, when you go to KZfaq you will not find that. You will not find a reason to buy one thing over another but instead simply find a reason to buy everything all the time. And this amp is a perfect example of that. And I must ask, how can you even think of recommending these amps and not recommending a Katana which has a 12-in speaker and a million effects and costs only $20 more? In fact, if you go read the reviews, why shouldn't I just buy something randomly? What is the point of all the reviews if they are all exactly the same? And they each one of them says that the gear that they're selling is the best?

@@valueofnothing2487 I think you are confusing reviews with demos. What I do is demonstrate products. Sure, my opinion might creep in to a video but I’m not trying to sell anyone on a product. I’m purely making videos to offer people a chance to look and listen to products and make up their own mind. Everyone has different ears and a different taste in tone. Your argument about the Katana is an odd one, why would I mention that amp in a demonstration of another product? If this video was called ‘5 best low budget amps’ I may well include it. Plus, having a million features doesn’t mean it sounds better or would be a good choice for someone who just wants a traditional amp setup without bells and whistles.

Good thought, guess it’s possible! I’ve been told they are safe to run without a load so there’s no reason it shouldn’t work.

@@DanLeggatt Yup, I got one and tried it, sounds better that way, but I still returned the amp, just wasn't for me.

It has no more background noise than any other high gain amp. You might be hearing some from the talkback mic or if you are listening on a phone, it compresses the audio at higher volumes.

This still sounds better for what it’s meant for!

@@jefferybarnett2073 As far as I know the Bogner is the only one of the 4 models with active tone controls. It also has "Synergy" marked components, which I think contribute to why the Bogner sounds better (to me anyway) 👍
