Butcher ends up taking full compound V to save his life from the temp V and the powers he showed would be the powers he’d have with the real V. With some training and more experience I see no reason why butchers rage couldn’t beat homelanders

Actually, the writing has been very careful in his portrayal. He does a good thing, then he does a bad thing, and the process repeats. Right now, I would classify him as an anti-hero. He wants to be good, but he's not very good at it.

@@mr.whisper3338 yea, like he does actually feel remorse for killing all those people by accident when he went nuclear . But he definitely has some serious personality issues mostly because of his abusive father but also because he grew up in a pretty intolerant era in American history. So he does have some honorable qualities but I also feel like he is the type of man who would back hand his wife because she back talked him. You can even see his abusive tendencies come out in the final scene between him and Homlander (as well with we Noir of course) but with homlander you can see soldier starts to act like his father.

Soldier boy is a man from the early 1900's who refused to adapt to the new changing world, he was also a repeated abuser and douce like most Supes, However unlike other Supes he was genuinely convicted and devoted to his role as a Soldier and a Hero, and he also had quite a comedic and likeable presence which is why i feel that most people like myself really like him. Its really badass seeing a Supe fight efficiently using their powers (That Nuclear chest beam is fucking amazing as well... but very very volatile and problematic). Really hope he makes a comeback!

Soldier Boy is definitely my favourite character in The Boys. He’s so fucking badass. I mean, yeah okay true he’s a bit of an asshole and he’s not the most heroic character in the entire show since he did kill innocent people a few times. But I respect the fact that he kept his word and remained loyal to the mission to destroy Homelander even though he knew they were father and son. He’s quite funny too. It’s such a damn pity he was only in a few episodes. I really hope they bring him back in Season 4.

Actually he is more lenient than other Supes, since other Supes would willingly kill innocent people if it meant protecting their reputation or boosting it, whereas when he did it, it was accidental. He actually showed pride and devotion to his Role as a Soldier and Hero and he also one of the few who used his powers efficiently which is such a relief to see.

This is a more realistic depiction of someone who was made super strong chemically, but the super soldier serum in marvel amplifies personal characteristics as well as their body. Steve Rogers was already a good guy, so Captain America is a _really_ good guy

@@xrstevenson McGee his biology is that of a super soldier. His metabolism would burn through the THC way too quick for him to have a decent high. It's the same reason why it takes Captain America GALLONS of booze to get slightly buzzed. He can't get "high" but he still tries so halothane and weed while completely different probably feel roughly the same to Soldier Boy.

Soldier Boy is by far the most intriguing and entertaining character in the entire series. A lot of people say he’s evil and racist, but I really don’t see it tbh. Here’s why: - Soldier Boy isn’t evil, Homelander is evil. Homelander will kill a plane full of people just because he feels like it, Soldier Boy doesn’t kill unless provoked or he has a reason. He’s similar to Butcher in that regard. He clearly feels remorse for the deaths of innocents, as can be seen by his facial expressions when he went nuclear and blew up that city block. He couldn’t control it. He also felt remorse during his conversation with Hughie in the hotel room, saying he didn’t mean to kill those people. Soldier Boy isn’t afraid to kill by any means, but only to accomplish a goal. He doesn’t get his rocks off lasering random people on the sidewalk like Homelander does. - Soldier Boy isn’t a racist. I’m not sure where this one is coming from unless I missed something while watching. The only evidence I see of Soldier Boy being a racist is Mother’s Milk calling him a racist. Yeah he threw a car through his family’s window, but that was collateral damage, and Soldier Boy had no idea who lived there or what color they were. In the hotel room scene with Hughie, Soldier Boy calls Bill Cosby “America’s Dad.” Now, I’m aware that because of the things Cosby has done the point of the joke was to be “haha Cosby’s in jail,” but, I don’t think that a racist person, especially a person that’s racist against black people like MM claims he is, would go out of his way to call Bill Cosby, a black man, America’s Dad. And since he was frozen for so long, as far as Soldier Boy knew Cosby had done nothing wrong at the time. - Soldier Boy was the only one that kept his word in the end. Despite learning that Homelander was his son and remembering the issues he had with his own father, Soldier Boy still stuck to the plan and was willing to kill Homelander. He called Homelander a disappointment just like him. He was willing to kill his own son to honor his deal with Butcher, and Butcher and his team betrayed him for a kid that’s not even Butcher’s. All because Soldier Boy hit Ryan, when as far as I’m concerned, Ryan had it coming since he lasered Soldier Boy first, a laser mind you, that fried Stormfront to a crisp. The finale made no sense with them betraying Soldier Boy and teaming up with Homelander, when Homelander has been shown to be far worse than Soldier Boy. So, is Soldier Boy an egocentric asshole? Yes. But is he evil? Not really. His entire goal this season was to get revenge on his former team for selling him out to the Russians to let him be tortured for 40 years. A pretty understandable goal tbh. And in return he made a deal to kill Homelander for Butcher. If he’s evil, then Butcher is evil as well. Because the two characters are very similar by comparison. Butcher was a dick to his team, wants revenge, and is willing to kill to get it, and Soldier Boy was a dick to his team, wants revenge, and is willing to kill to get it. Almost every character that’s not Homelander is morally grey in this show.

Soldier Boy's arrival is so timely. Just when we learnt to be afraid of every Homelander's frowning - here comes he, who acts like he's going to confidently wipe his ass with Homelander.
