10 months???? Like an overnight ... why the big hoopla ...???? Most military guys in the past in military service .. were gone for at least two YEARS ... or more in some cases. As I was. These men are lucky to be gone for only a few months.

They were right about homecomings not always being joyful. I returned from a rather short deployment and the first thing my wife said was "I had affair". We were divorced shortly thereafter. She several failed marriages later on and passed away of cancer in 2020.
