Nice video, well thought out, filmed and produced. I have the same pressure washer. My Ryobi quit idling down after a year in storage. The fix was to pull the unloader valve out and clean it. Lots of videos and tips out there to get that done. My valve was definitely stuck, and after cleaning and lubricating to free the valve (it is a spring loaded plunger valve that opens and closes orifices), the idle down feature worked great again.

Nice! I bought a new one 3300 psi from Ryobi too. I loved because I can use for professional job and is very compact, fit in my regular car (truck). Now, it comes with everything lemon yellow, including the hose, nozzle and gun.

Have y'all figured out a way to bypass the idle down? That is what seems to be screwing ours up. Gotta hold the throttle wide open on the motor while someone else cranks and pulls trigger. So once we get ours cranked as long as we keep the trigger wide open it won't stall. Once you let the trigger off just a little it starts hiccuping and then stalls pretty quick

I just bought the Ryobi 3200 psi for $169 (factory blemished). I haven't used it yet but I enjoyed your video.

I was considering this model, but I see that there’s a lot of cheap components to it. Plus I don’t like where you hook up your hoses to why underneath. Thank you for the review. I think I’ve made up my mind I don’t want it.

Just picked one up for free... had a bunch of soap gummed up in the pump and the idling would stall it out. Sometimes would get it to start up and run on full trigger pull, but it would immediately bog down and stall out as soon as you let off. Replaced carb, spark plug, oil, fuel, fuel lines, removed the tiny fuel filter that goes in the port of the tank and swapped it for an inline filter. Still kept starving it out when I took it off full choke. I oiled the throttle pulley line, the unloader valve too and cleared out all the soap gummed up in there. That helped it out and it would start up and run on trigger, but anytime you let your hand off the trigger and it would drop to idle, it kept stalling. Finally I moved the idler spring to the next notch to have it pull the idle just a little higher, and boom... works wayyyy better now and wont starve out when the idle down bogs it. Idle still runs a little bit rough, but im betting its just from age and abuse with crappy gas

I used mine one time to power wash pool deck. Used ethanol free gas. Drain gas and carb for storage. Went to do pool deck again couldn't get to stay running for more than a few seconds. Piece of junk and their customer service is terrible.

When moving the pressure washer, hoses facing front or rear are preferable to the facing the side. IMHO

I have this unit with 4 different color nozzles. I do not have the one like you have with the SOAP dispenser. Can I get the nozzle likes you so that I can access the release of the SOAP in the tank?

Hi wondering if someone could help me out here. I had my pressure washer stored in the garage over the winter season. I’ve now taken it out and refueled it and it’s not starting up. Sometimes it starts but never does it actually stay started. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Gas these days has a tendency gum up if left in the carburetor. You would need to clean that out and change your inline fuel filter.

My wand leaks like crazy and cannot eliminate that. With 3-4 hours on it cannot start. Ran gas dry in when last used as instructed. Disappointed you did not mention or cover these common problems.

Hi I like your video thank you very much I bought the 3300 and I just filled it with oil it states in the directions to leave 2 ounces in the bottle but when I fill it up it has about 5 ounces left in the bottle and it shows that it’s slightly over full on the dipstick. It also said not to overfill it I thought it would be fine dumping most of the bottle in there because it said to leave 2 ounces left and I have more than that left in the bottle. My question is should I remove some oil and how do I do that. I don’t wanna mess up the engine before I even use it. Can you please advise me what to do thank you.

Yeh, done that in my mower it runs fine, only a bog problem when running in hot weather or using it a lot so it heats up and the oil will retain the heat causing further overheating. You can just get some old rags and shop tissue or a tray and turn it on it sside and run a bit out if you want.

I assume your inserting the dipstick all the way screwed it. YOU DO NOT CHECK IT LIKE THAT! You just insert the the dipstick without screwing in. The oil level will go down as the oil redisrubtues itself. I had mine up to the full mark and used it for about 3 hours, went down to about 3/4. Added about an oz or so and back to normal. It shows in the honda manual to check without screwing in. It's not highlighted or anything and easy to miss. I bet 90% people check it wrong as was I!

On the 3000 psi ryobi gas pressure washer,can you use regular gas from gas station or is it special gas?
@tomvincent7167
@tomvincent7167 4 жыл бұрын
It takes regular gas as long as it is 10% Ethanol, but I always use ethanol-free gas in my small engines, as ethanol in the gas will gum up the carburetor.

It's a piece of shit and that's a fact. I have the RY80940B and the idle down feature really screws it up. I put about 12-15 hours on mine inside a week cleaning fence and driveway kinda stuff. I did everything by the book including flushing the pump each time. Never had worked correct after the initial. I use a pump sprayer too I don't even use the onboarding soap dispenser to keep it from gunked up

YOU FORGOT TO INCLUDE, ( just like the instructions on the washer handle) that you have to pull the trigger wide open to enable to pull the rope when starting or you will pull your arm out of it's socket!!! VERY POOR AND DANGEROUS DESIGN!!! :( wish I would have known this before I bought it.....I never here anyone talking about that either.....How come???

Excellent point...I encountered the same issue. Not knowing the easy solution you mention, I would start the motor with the water off and then run to turn on the tap. Not good according to the manual, but she's still running well after 5 years. Wish I had known to simply release the pressure using the wand trigger.

Every pressure washer with a pull start behaves this way. Unless it has an easy start valve, you must relieve the built up pressure. Every pull builds up pressure
