That’s gonna be one of the sickest set of “bookshelf” cabinets even though you’re building brackets. Remember the rear deck enclosures made by Boss,Pyramid, pioneer. This is so much better but we could have swore those were the sheezy lmao good stuff Ed and Rich.

Poplar can have some really unique, colorful grain! I love using it when I find a good piece. With the right bit of love, it's absolutely delicious with a rich, dark stain. :D I'm curious to see how those midbasses respond to a small, sealed cabinet like that! My gut tells me they're gonna be a tad harsh in the vocal range, but perhaps some strategic damping--or even a Laminar Flow IB--could mellow 'em out! Won't know 'til we hear 'em, though. Can't wait! Awesome project! Thanks for posting!

well that looks like is gonna make some nice vibrations on the shop, try playing with polyfill and a-like stuff if you end up wiith resonances from those boxes even tho they look as solid as they come. it help me get a better sound on a not so portable boombox I made with 2 - 6 1/2" mids with 1 1/8" dome tweets and a 6 1/2" sub tuned deep to enjoy that nasty sinusoidal bass. really looking forward for the next build vids.

it would be helpful for me if you normalize the volume between clips so i dont have to get up and adjust the volume. on a side note when i build stuff with pine and even more so with treated wood its a good idea to let it dry for a month or two as it will warp.

Don't know if u check comments. Seen ur putting a mechanism in. I got a 300 amp from js alternators and ended up having to extent the harness. Not sure the reason but on the ss the connector is on the top and on the aftermarket alternator it was on the bottom. And if i remember correctly, I had to plug the connection in before I bolted the it in because something is in the way and it can't be plugged in after its mounted. Just a heads up to check. Where in NC are ya? I'm in upstate sc and would like to check out the shop. I also have an hhr ss as well with alot done to it. Could exchange ideas. Lol

Hmm, your harness may be zip tied tight. I've never had a problem with it. Also, I'm not using the factory harness anyway because my alt has it's own regulator for higher voltage. I'm up in PA near Philly.
