Animation and Basic Motion are included in every license of SOLIDWORKS, and Motion Analysis is available with SOLIDWORKS Premium or any Simulation license. This tutorial series will help you understand the basic skills to get started even if you have never created animations before. Videos are broken down by topic for easy searching. Motion Analysis or Motion Simulation is a full engineering motion solver included in SOLIDWORKS Premium and in any SOLIDWORKS Simulation license. Motion Analysis has the ability to input and measure parameters that are important to design and component specification. Parameters such as displacement, velocity, acceleration, and jerk as well as torque, force, horsepower, and contact forces can be gathered and the resultant motion behavior can be reviewed and plotted. In this chapter of the tutorial we explore the basics of setting up and using a Motion Analysis study but subsequent videos will dig deeper into core topics needed to be successful with some scenarios.

Hello sir I am working on project of robotic arm. And i want to do motion analysis. But i getting problem when i am give for calculate all part are disassemble from assembly so please help me sir

This sounds like you need to focus on the mates in your assembly and simplify as much as possible until the model stays together. The earlier videos in this series cover how to define mates so they are local to this motion study only or global, either way you do it just make sure the mates you apply also exist and are active in the motion study. If the assembly contains a lot of loose components being mated, I would create a sub-assembly or a rigid group for each sub-set of parts to minimize the number of total mates that are used.

When i try to import the mate controller, it says: "the following mates cannot be converted to motor due to selection used: Limit angle 8" and no motors are implemented.

This would be a good question for technical support, if you are an MLC CAD Systems customer on subscription you can reach out to our team at www.mlc-cad.com/technical-support/ From the message of the error itself, it might be due to the type of faces selected or some other similar conflict. You could try simplifying the mate or suppress and recreate it with different selections to see if that has any impact on the behavior. Good luck!

there's no motion analysis option in my PC only animation and basic motion. can you help

Motion Analysis is only available if you own the license and have it enabled. To see if you have it and check to see if it is enabled, go to Tools > Addins and see if the option is there. SOLIDWORKS Premium and all Simulation licenses have this add-in, but SOLIDWORKS Standard and Professional do not.

Right-click on one or more mates and select Mate Controller from the menu.

Sir please give brief tutorials on contact,spring,dampers, at least in contact 🥹🥹🙏🙏

Springs and dampers typically apply to kinematic studies where components are held in place and allowed to move only within a specified range of motion. Defining them is similar to defining a motor or contact, refer to the help for more specific details. Dynamic studies, where parts are free to move anywhere, generally will use contacts but not springs or dampers.

@@189thasinahmed7 The topic of Motion is best covered in a training course. There are not a lot of options for learning it, which is why we created this tutorial series.
