SolKadhi | Goan Sol Kadi | Kokum Drink - 3 different flavors
SolKadhi is a tangy and flavorful Goan Kokum drink that is good for digestion.
Plain or Harvi Mirsang Kadi Ingredients:
Kokum - 7 pieces
Salt - to taste
Grated Coconut - 1 cup
Green Chillies - 2
Water - As needed
Dhaniya
Garlic or Losnichi Kadi Ingredients:
Kokum - 7-8 pieces
Salt - to taste
Grated Coconut - 1 cup
Peppercorn - 3
Red Chili Powder - 1/2 tspn
Garlic Cloves - Depending on size 1-3 (See video)
Water - As needed
Futi Kadi Ingredients:
Kokum - 3-4 pieces
Salt - to taste
Sugar - 1 tspn or to taste
Water - 3/4th cup
Hing - A pinch
Green Chilli - 1
Dhaniya
Note:
Futi Kadi can be consumed at room temperature or cold.
Never heat coconut based kadi on stovetop for long as coconut milk might curdle.
The way we reheat leftover coconut based Kadi in Goa - Do a tadka with coconut oil and mustard seeds, pour Kadi in tadka vessel and switch off flame. The heat of the vessel will warm up the Kadi.
