I head into the Cibola National Forest on a Solo ATV Camping trip touring one of the many off-road trails found in this mountain range. As the day progressed, I locate a great spot to set up my tent within a grove of ponderosa pine trees. No time was wasted and my camp was quickly developed along with enjoying a great campfire cooked steak and cold beer.

I can imagine the memories of you and your dad are awesome. Hopefully you can get the truck up and running along with a quad riding in the back as you head out for a trip. What kind of truck is it? I am glad you are inspired buddy. It is the best part of filming videos is to connect with like minded people. I appreciate your support and look forward to having you along for the journey.

I love these tires. They look good on the ATV! I'll have to do a review on them at some point. I noticed that the camera frame rate looked off also. I am shooting with a Panasonic G85 in 4k 30FPS. I wonder if that had anything to do with it. I'll have to keep an eye on it. Thanks for watching!

Ruben! I just learned your name. 🙂 I like the pace of your videos and the scenery is always beautiful. It strikes me your Can-Am 570 is doing very well for you and that's great. Winter is here in NE Oregon, so when I get recovered from my flu/pneumonia and get my Outlander I probably won't be putting too many miles on it initially, but come spring I'll be looking forward to some nice rides. You had asked previously if I'd video my rides. Probably not. I'm sure that's a lot of work and so far it doesn't strike me as something I want to get into. Maybe that will change. Keep up your good works ManzanoMan as I look forward to watching your videos regularly.

I hope you are slowly getting back to full health. I have no preference on how you want to refer to me. Most call me by name, Ruben. My channel name is named after a nearby mountain range called the Manzano Mountains. I hope winter isn’t to brutal for you guys. Winter here is so different from year to year. Our mountains get snow with the most snowpack being to the north in the state. I do understand what you mean. Filming can be time consuming and not for everyone. I hope you’re able to put a few miles on your machine before spring kicks in. The Can Am has been a solid machine so I am sure you will enjoy yours as well. Take care.

@@ManzanoManATVAdventures yes all is well. But my wife and I really want to ride with you... seriously. Wanna hear something WEIRD? Last weekend we went up to Jemez with some friends. We have a CFmoto Cforce 400 and a Kawi Brute Force 300. Our friends both have the CanAm Outlander 570 (one of them is the two-seater). On our way out (but still in the thick of the woods) BOTH Outlanders stopped working at the EXACT same time 😵 Luckily my wife had her Green Chile Adventure Gear tow rope and got them both out of the woods onto a rocky road which was downhill all the way to our trucks. The ONLY thing we can come up with is "bad gas" in both the Outlanders. Why else would they both die simultaneously? Anyway that was definitely an adventure (especially because storms were starting to brew).
@ManzanoManATVAdventures
@ManzanoManATVAdventures Жыл бұрын
We will have to make that happen and arrange a mutual ride day and time. That is the oddest thing to have happen at the same time. I agree that gas could have caused the issue. Thankfully you both were able to help out and get back safely. That is always a concern of mine being solo all the time is a breakdown. Be careful and take care.

Awesome video bud! Really appreciate the camera work and editing time you put in! 4:49 - WOW, nice herd! 19:07 - it was a SQUATCH! - lol Congrats on reaching 2,000 subs! You deserve even more! Hope you hit a million my friend!

Thanks Q. You know by experience how editing can take some time. So I appreciate you recognizing that. Man that herd was awesome to see. I watched them for about 15 minutes before I moved on. Lol, I do have a feeling I will see Squatch one day haha. A millon? Wow, imagine that. But I do believe you'll hit that benchmark before I will. But I appreciate the kind words my friend. Take care.

Enjoyed this video but for some unknown reason the audio didn't play like usual on my KZfaq via Roku, but it played fine on my phone. Weird but, I really like your coverage of the Manzano Mountains. A few years ago we drove through exploring and stayed at the state park. Thanks again Manzano Man!

That is so strange to hear the audio had trouble. I wish I had answers, but I don't. I am glad you enjoy my tour of the Manzano mountains. There are some nice small trails that take you off the main drag through there. I have never stayed at the state park, but I have heard great things about it. I plan on traveling up north to get into the mountains on one of my upcoming videos. Thanks for watching buddy.

Ruben, I'm in kansas and we have done alot of riding in colorado along with wyoming and south dakota. I would be interested in just the general rules and regulations for atv's in New Mexico. We need new place to go, colorado has been the destination for the last 5 years, we did the Black Hills in south dakota a couple years ago and their regulations are awesome with the right permit. 2 different tags will let u travel on absolutely everything but the interstate.

Hi Stacy - The law requires all OHV users to register their OHVs if used on public land. Non-residents can purchase OHV registration decals from the Department of Game and Fish Online Sales website (onlinesales.wildlife.state.nm.us/). OHVs can be used within communities, but it is up to that community to determine that. A community that is fairly friendly is in northern New Mexico up in Red River. There are several trails in and around the town. A good video to watch would be made by Destination Polaris in Red River. Thanks for watching.

You can't go wrong with a steak on the fire when camping. The trench worked out well. I didn't want the water to pool up buy the door so I am glad I did it. Thanks for watching. I hope all is well.

Looks like you’re living the dream. How do you pack all the necessities on your quad? I’m looking at receiver racks for mine.
@ManzanoManATVAdventures

I'll have to make a video what I do for my gear. All my gear I buy is backpacking gear. So to make these trips work I look for small gear that is light weight. So it all packs away nicely. My cooler is a small cooler that fits perfectly behind me. As for my upfront bag, I carry my sleeping bag, electronic things for cameras and batteries etc. I think rack would be good for you. Best thing is to find what works for you and your machine. Thanks for the question.

Hey there. No memberships or fees to camp out here. However, if you are staying in a campground there is a fee for the night or however many days you plan on staying. Thanks for watching.

Ruben Can you clarify one thing for me: When I go camping, it’s always inside the campground I thought it’s illegal to camp outside the designated area. Please, advise me on what need to be done (permit from the DNR…) I am looking to buy an ATV and would love to do a trip around the state forest
@ManzanoManATVAdventures
@ManzanoManATVAdventures Жыл бұрын
Hey there. You can legally came anywhere outside of a campground unless it is posted no camping. Other than that if you are out and find a spot you would like to camp at you are good to go. Here in the state of New Mexico no permits are needed to camp in public lands. ATVs need to be registered and permitted through the motor vehicle division, but no other permits are required with the forest service. Thanks for watching!

He is telling me to go camping without a fire arm. To me that is stupid. I have never in my life been camping without a gun.
@ManzanoManATVAdventures
@ManzanoManATVAdventures 24 күн бұрын
Who is telling you to go camping without a firearm? If you are suggesting me, you have me all wrong buddy. I only said to not discharge a firearm in a campground. These are the rules implied by the forest service who regulate the area, not me. If you have watched several of my previous videos I have talked several times on my choice of protection in the outdoors which is my .45 handgun.
