Grew up on Lake Macquarie and spent my teenage years fishing in a tinnie and camping, was never home on weekends. Have been living and working in Germany for the past 25 years now and miss Australia more than ever. Have throughly enjoyed watching all of your episodes and I feel transported right back to those early days I cherished so much. Thanks so much

@@ChrisBamman79 Being a professional Musician I settled in Europe to get a better chance than in OZ. When I was growing up our neighbor happened to be Mike Leyland (Brother of Mal) and my fathers best friend. We accompanied him on several outback adventures and he was a great guy. Later after spending a few years up north doing the Big Rock attraction Park it fell through and he moved back to Lake Macquarie. Before his passing he brought out a new TV travel doc out on channel 10 called "Travel all Over the Countryside (without Mal) and I was commissioned to write all the music for the series. If you're interested in the opening track send me a email address and you are welcome to use it if it appeals. I composed it and play all instruments. All the best, Adrian

Another great slice of life shared Chris, I particularly liked the shots of the bush, flowers and tree funguses mate, spot on. Isn’t camp oven cooking in the rain the best, the weather seems to sharpen the senses and the aromas and flavour of food cooked that way is always awesome. Thanks again!!!

Oh that I have said ...if I had wings like a dove I could fly away, and be at rest in the wilderness....thanks Chris. I do the same thing too on my boat. I go out alone with my dogs and stay in the wilderness for days at a time. Love it, and being alone is a challenge. thanks

Stumbled across this video and loved it. Subscribed as soon as it finished. Can't wait to watch some more of your stuff. I couldn't think of anything better than camping and fishing in a river like that. Although the rain would be a pain in the ass. The Brookers are awesome boats, hey? Stable, deep and solid. I have a 415 safari and use it as often as possible. Keep up the great work.

I'm a Queenslander who does not function too well below 15 deg. I have been watching your videos for quite some time and appreciate your passion . I watched the one where you made an igloo and camped in the snow also the high country trout fishing then came across this one which I had missed for some reason. I wondered about why a person would deliberately camp out in the rain and snow then in your introduction said you love winter, each to their own ( the hip flask made sense) . I really enjoy your videos as there is no hype, we get what we see and I will keep watching as long as you keep posting. Especially like the ones with the family it is great to get the young ones into nature. Cheers

Good video Chris, seasoned camper, i would have wimped out, packed up and gone home.Nice bream. Good cook. Just be careful when standing up in a tiller steer without your safety lanyard hooked on.Look forward to more.
